I hope this is a joke. If you honestly believe everything you see or hear on television then you are in for a rude awakening.

If Skywalker had a true 50" vert his head would be at least 6" above the rim on his dunks. If you watch his highlights you'll see that his head is not even close to rim level.

I would love to know how high Tdub/GC/Jus Fly verts are. I would guess that they would have around the 48"-50" mark for a running vert.

No, obviously not, but all of Skywalkers highlights have come in dunk contests where there is no defense and he is able to jump as high as possible.

Skywalker can definitely throw down, but there are quite a few people out there with way more hops than him.

First of all Skywalker has no where NEAR a 50" vertical. There are lots of dunkers who get up way higher than he does. Just look at the dunk contest where he competed against Tdub. Skywalker had to use his arm to pole vault over the person he was jumping over, while Tdub skyed over the person with ease. I'm pretty sure that no one has ever been tested as having a true 50" vert, although I wouldn't be surprised if Tdub or Golden Child did have a true 50" vert.

in case you don't know... your vertical is considered whether if it's from a approach or not... it's basically how high you can jump off the ground.

everyone WILL get a higher vertical with an approach if approaching appropriately (correctly), as it is using momentum to add on to it.

Vertical is not judged at all from a standstill.
