@DungeonMasterSteve Hi there...I imagine that after writing the 17 'WoOZ' songs for the second half of the 1939 movie, it would be important to create a red herring situation by cleverly adding a good bunch of extra songs to make a double album, then suddenly it becomes a brilliant dangling carrot (i.e: the obvious WALL movie), after which nobody should suspect the original 17 songs were written for a different purpose?

@DungeonMasterSteve Figuratively speaking, The WALL movie may be a false protagonist masterfully designed to throw the dogs off the scent trail.

By creating the WALL movie concept, Roger Waters may have intentionally created a star vehicle that might also mislead or distract the ‘Wizard of OZ’ theorists down another yellow brick road, so to speak.

Never actually seen the Oz/PF mashup, but I'm willing to give it a go -- here's my question for you:

There are pauses - obviously - between tracks, whether on vinyl or CD -- and I have both.

If I did this, though - I'll probably just do it with MP3s and play it through my stereo -- which gives me the option of eliminating pauses if needed, or altering their length.

Ergo, since we're lining this down to the second, are you suggesting starting each track at the second you name or...?

@dedicateddad Due to small discrepancies in pauses between tracks and even running speeds of machinery, I suggested timings may be slightly adjustable. I would invest some indulgent time to experiment with every individual track for precision. Some of my 'timings' are spot-on, whist others might be a little off (even up to around 6 seconds). Eg: Try starting 'Empty Spaces' somewhere between 42:20 and 42:26. You should find the perfect launch therein...and so on! Eliminate pauses if you like.

i've seen the wizard of oz with dark side played over it, up until the end of the album (obviously) but now you are mentioning that song from 'the wall' go with it to complete the whole film, i wouldn't mind see this, have these songs been added on to it? if so can anybody tell me where to find it... and if not, is anyone planning on putting this together, wouldn't mind seeing the final work.

Less convincing than the original Dark Side theory since this requires falsifying the obvious intent of the original songs. The "motherly" advice in the song "Mother" isn't meant to be that edifying, and the song "Another Brick in the Wall" is certainly NOT about a comforting feeling of belonging to a community.
