Incorrect. Holdren only acknowledges that sulfate particles may used as a last ditch semi-solution to the problem. He will also tell you that the unforseen consequences makes such a decision extremely dangerous.

Any "warming" due to human activity could be attributed to humans putting surface stations next to exhaust fans, brick buildings, blacktop and concrete surfaces, etc. It's probably the only human activity that "causes" warming - of the thermometer, that is.

It seems to me you are the one who needs to do your homework. Tectonic plates and volcanism raise and lower islands all the time. What do you think the Hawaiian Islands are doing? Or the Aleutians? The volcanic activity creates new islands and old ones are disappearing. That's clear observable science. The oceans are not rising by any significant amount. How does one measure 1 millimeter with any degree of accuracy when ocean waves are lapping the shore?

Global warming is a process of changes in many parts of global climate system. How people deal with that - that another question. We can believe in it or not believe - that's our choice. To be skeptical is OK. But skepticism is not an answer - that's just position when you are not sure that some explanation explains everything. That's normal for both sides. But problem is when skeptical people thinks they have ONE answer to everything regarding climate change. There is no one answer.

I would have to agree with John Holdren that the term "Global Warming" understates the disaster this planet is facing.

That term implies that all we need concern ourselves with is an 85 degree day instead of a 84 degree day during the summer.

I love the term "denialists". It is akin to the term "Gishers" that came out of the creation myth vice evolution science debates of the 1980's.
