Nut I've seen and heard Farrakhan stating malcolm was a 'traitor' and that NOI 'dealt' with him like a traitor. So i think the CIA probably recruited a small unit put a battery in their backs and allowed them to walk by arresting the wrong ones after. So in conclusion, Farrakhan was probably trying to court the illusion of power when he made that speech IMO

Malcolm's comment about "enemies" being present at this talk were on the mark. I am in the midst of reading Manning Marable's biography of Malcolm in which Marable details the many actions taken by the FBI to surveil Malcolm. There certainly would have been people in this audience taking notes; notes which were later passed on to the "authorities."
