I don't think anyone got a better 12 string Ricky sound than these guys and as for getting a Orbison or Everly sound - their own sound was captivating. Too bad they didn't breakout.

It would be great if Jeffrey Hatcher or someone in the know could settle the mystery. Did the Blue Shadows set out to do an Orbison-type song? It's interesting you should mention the Everlys, I never thought of them in relation to this particular song but I had noticed the similarity in harmonizing on other Blue Shadow songs.

This tune is very Orbison-esque, and I could picture the Everly Brothers covering it as well. Very nice!
