  • I can't believe this band opened for Social D. I'm sure social D had no say in this since they are signed to the same label. Frank Turner's music is so gay. I'm glad they got take off the Social D tour.

  • @djknucklez1 Piss off you twat

  • @theroundman9 Rot with your hipster wannabe rock. Cheers mate!

  • @djknucklez1 haha hipster wannabe rock.... :')

  • You are a hipster for saying that.

  • @punkcorp You're calling me a hipster because I disagree with djknucklez1? haha

  • @djknucklez1 There is an interview on here with Mike Ness of him sharing the fact that he admires Frank turner as a songwriter. AND they just played together last month in Oakland and FT killed it with the Social D crowd. SOOOOO i guess by now you can realized how incredibly dumb and ignorant your post sounds. cheers.

  • Turner has the same love, passion and appreciation for the historical context of Rock and Roll as Springsteen and the rest of the greats. Doff your cap to genius when you see it folks.

  • See you again in DALLAS TEXAS on 2-27-2012..

If you don't like Frank Turner you can go fuck yourself...

  • I love this guy, I'm twelve years old and the amount of people who love this awful pop fad make me want to cry. They just can't appreciate this kind of music! But I believe in you Frank Turner!

  • yo frank turner its not rock n roll thats simple its you bro real talk

  • yeeahh social distortion

  • wow hold steady shout out, I wasn't expecting that but I love it, the hold steady are fucking dope; remind me of bruce springsteen with punk/hardcore roots

  • see you tonight in Stuttgart !!!!!!!!! can't wait....

  • bad crowd

  • I was at this show and after watching this I agree that we (the crowd) sucked! That was the first time I saw Frank Turner and I'm a huge fan. He's coming back in a couple of months and I for one am going to kick it up a notch!

  • i agree with the fellow who said,"shit crowd"

  • He's such a fucking master.

  • 17 People thought, that was the download button

  • i've seen Frank Turner 3 times now, and each time has been someone of the bess gigs i have ever been too. The guy is a genius!

  • Also not sure if some people here a joking. But this song to me is about keeping good, honest and pure music alive. It is a catalyst chant against everything wrong with music today. Auto tune, Throwaway lyrics, cruddy electronics.

  • Dont get how some people can criticise this man. And also ive met far too many american people that wont give this guy a decent chance in their minds because he is english.

Frank's songs are intelligent and meaningful. He is always one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He played a key part in the UK hardcore and rock scene with Million Dead (back when British rock topped American rock in almost every way). He always puts on a great show with a great atmosphere

  • I bet people like this were slagging off the proponents of our modern numeral system back in 5th century India, "yeah I still reckon we can get along with just words for one, two and many". Ergo, Frank Turner is basically against civilisation and progress.

  • I believe in full fat milk. I believe in two flakes in my 99, I believe in hot milk with my cornflakes, I believe that Bono is the only frontman for U2, I believe in miracles, I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, I think about it every night and day, spread my wings and fly away. I believe in rock 'n' roll.

  • I believe in sending Frank Turner to some Siberian salt mine forever

  • @whipchorus Listen to some of his other music then? Definitely not a clichéd load of rubbish. Give him a chance.

  • This guys coming to town in a few days, seems like I should see him :) He reminds me quite a bit of Bragg, good thing that.

  • Yes!! I believe in Frank Turner!!

  • this is the most talented man i saw this last 10 year

  • @SlickRickLP no excuse. I'm sure Frank gave them the singing lesson like he always does lol

  • shit crowd

  • love it

  • going to see him in toronto in october, CAN'T FUCKING WAIT......

  • @Northey85 me 2 did you see him with sd?

  • see you in November!

  • Love that I've seen this live twice in one week, this guy is a fucking legend!

  • This is just OK....His "I believe" rap and crowd sing-a-long bullshit is too fucking manipulative...and stupid..Can't stand it. ..

That being said, his song "Reasons not to be an idiot" is fucking awesome, and his Bad Religion cover is the best I've ever heard ..So, yeah, Frank's alright in my book.

  • @rastablues1 Why is it manipulative and stupid?

  • @Kakuoteyalu ....In the same way a movie score builds to a crescendo as the kids see their lost dog show up...and their faces light up..... or the underdog scores a touchdown or goal, and the crowd leaps to it's feet as the music swells......Like when a singer drops names of artists and icons whom he knows his audience will relate to...while call for a rousing (retch) SING-ALONG...In THAT way, it's "manipulative & stupid". In my opinion.

  • @rastablues1 So it's classic and kinda cheesy...

    What's really wrong with that?

Also, maybe the singer knows what artists his audience will relate to because they're his influences, and if they like him they probably like those artists as well.

I just don't see what's wrong with it, it's cheesy, sure, but it's fun.

  • @Kakuoteyalu I'm just Old & Bitter.

  • @rastablues1 Good to know. Been nice chatting with you.

  • @rastablues1 Likewise...Hasta luego

  • Leeds fest 2011, here i come

  • I believe in you Frank Turner

  • incredible rock and roll song played with passion. i saw them with social d in washington and the crowd was floored by this guy. this crowd is from arizona... and.. we'll.. enough said, right?

  • Really good band, shit crowd :/

  • This whole album is amazing

  • Prime example.

  • this crowd sucks. watch him perform this song at reading festival, we gave him the response he deserves for the music he makes!

  • i love how passionate he seems during his performance even though, as one person said, the crowd was lame.

  • @holmeslaw666 Since when the hell do people have to dress the part? You're just mad at the fact that a "posh student geek" is making a hell of a lot of more money than you doing what he is good at. "holmeslaw666", just go back into the hole that you crawled out of. Frank Turner, you keep rocking that American/English Folk punk music!

  • Wow, why the crowd is so lame? At concert in Poznan, there were no more than 100 of us and we did much more noise than those people... Shame on them!

  • Just found this song and it`s fucking awesome, intro is so powerful, it is very sad that this video has only 27k views, but shitty pop songs has millions of views. BRING THIS VIDEO TO THE TOP, BRING BACK THE ROCK n ROLL.

FUCK POP, RAP and rest of shitty music, kill em all!!

  • Can people PLEASE shut the fuck up about class issues.

Frank Turner is not some jumped-up suit.

Frank Turner is not some cynical bastard just in the game to cash a few easy bucks.

Frank Turner is nothing but genuine.

Frank Turner is Frank Turner, Rock and Roll Poet, King of Men. Let us leave it at that and appreciate a genius at work.

  • Is that Sumerian text on his arm?

  • @jessemaurais I think it's Sumerian. If you wanna look it up/find out about it, it's called Ama-gi. Generally thought to be the first written expression of the concept of Liberty. Cool stuff.

  • I must watch this video like 5 times, then I can watch something else..

  • This is better than the original version :D

  • Every time I think music is losing meaning, I listen to Frank Turner.

  • saw these guys in Toronto with Social D.... really fucking awesome.

  • I judge people by their decisions rather than their situations.

  • @colintron me too, i'm judging him on his DECISIONS to go to Eton, to study at the London School of Economics and his decision to give that cliche / forced speech before his song to get a few cheers, cheap.

  • @holmeslaw666 So if the opportunity presented itself to you would you not want to get the best education possible? Remember you cannot choose where or what you are born into, only what you become.

  • @holmeslaw666 You cunt. Having an education means he can't be rock and roll?

  • @leoofbodom not at all, READ what i said about Strummer. I just don't think he's believable, he looks / sounds / presents himself like a posh student geek to me. No attitude / edge to him. As a side note, and more importantly...his music isn't that good.

  • @holmeslaw666

I agree he's a bit of a cunt/ unlikable but still. Saying you don't like him because you don't like his image is a bit weak on your part. Look past the fact you don't really like his haircut and realise he's not putting anything on. Watch tour videos/ him playing in pubs/ interviews about his music. Listen to Million Dead. He's not a fake. Opinion on his music is again subject but lets just say you're in the minority.

  • And just to be a cunt, it's 'Hear ye', not 'Hey yeah.'

  • Excluding his education and all that shit you're going on about, he is a singer/songwriter, why can't you just respect the fact that he's getting up there and giving it his all? It's the same with Justin Bieber, everyone being cunts about him when he's trying, that's coming from someone who dislikes his music. At least he's not sat at home like all of us commenting on this, have some damn respect from those who are fucking better than you, and this applies to not only you, but me.

  • @amywadsworthX Fucking too right!

  • @amywadsworthX my apologies for having and expressing an opinion on the video & artist. What the hell's Justin Bieber got do with anything?

  • @homleslaw666 do you really think education has anything to do with someone's love for music? If he went to Eton or not, the guy can write a song better than us two ever could. I've met him a number of times, he's a real nice lad too. If your not a fan of his material, just don't listen to it.

  • @chrisianburton Joe Strummer was privately educated, not a problem with that, but this fella is from another world, Eton! alongside royalty. I just think Francis is fake & has no business singing about "punks & skins" and what working class music is, he isn't naturally pissed off, just not buying his Billy Bragg attempt at all. You think this guy had any idea what "Social fuckin Distortion" was in 1996? Look at his last band Million Dead, total trend follower. Reminds me of Charlie from Busted.

  • @holmeslaw666 and there are working class people who hold super right-wing views? Your environment determines who you are, that's biology. He's lived life being a teenage anarchist, and still is a very liberal, educated man who knows the plight that the working class and poor have endured over the years. Don't hate for where he comes from, it's no different than hating a polish person because they are from Poland.

  • @bobotohough plenty of working class people hold right wing views. I don't hate the fella, though I do hate Poland, and Greenland, oh and the whole continent of Antarctica...shitholes.

  • @holmeslaw666 I'm sure he did have a pretty good idea about "Social fuckin distortion". Just because somebody is intelligent and was educated at an expensive school/college doesn't mean they're all capitalists or rich bastards who don't give a shit about the rest of us who are working class. Fuck, if anyone is working class it's Frank, based on how hard he has WORKED to get where he is now. Eton doesn't give you a passion for making music like this man does.

  • @JackWilliamsChannel still a weak song, baby music

  • @JackWilliamsChannel Plus, it's not like he chose any of it, he was just born into a more privileged family than us. If someone hates him for that, then they're just a snob. And yeah he speaks properly. He still makes damn good music and he completely understands what it means to be in a band because he could have been some rich businessman and he gave it up to have no money and live on a tour bus.

    ;) Big love for Turner!

  • @JackWilliamsChannel I agree, I mean Marx, the father of demonizing capitalism as the most alienating force and championing the working class came from a privileged home and was well educated none of which have anything to do with what you decide to do with any opportunities or education you get

  • i don't believe him at all, fraud

  • Why's this guy tryin so hard to be a working class / rock n roll hero all of a sudden? See right through him, a posh student who went to Eton and the London school of Economics for fuck's sake, was educated alongside Prince fuckin William, his dad went to Eton, total bollocks, come on people! That speech at the beginning made me cringe, can't believe everyone's buyin this. 'Hey Yeah'... ugh

  • @holmeslaw666 Go out and get your hole. Fucking hell, you are a right miserable bastard!

  • strong presence, attitude, great message... and of course as simple as rock'n'roll \o/

  • this is one of the greatist songs i've heard

  • Very good message! This guy is sincere.

  • I don't know about you guys but I believe in pirating music and being a dirty anti-theist, commie, asshole who plays music from the heart.

  • was that Larry the Cable Guy playing the harmonica?

  • fell in love with rise against back in like '05, saw a noncert n '07 i thin it was with TGA, discovered Brian Fallon of course thru that. found chuck ragan from that connection, and now im discovering frank turner from all of that. this song is amazing because it makes all that great mmusic come full circle. whole family loves Cash, grandmother loves Springsteen, i love social distortion and all the rest, and the thing i love about all of them is they all GET IT! this music is why im alive today

  • Bruce Springsteen, the clash, and johnny spawned all the modern true rock bands without any added BS just pure rock and roll: Frank Tunrer, Social Distortion, Lucero, Gaslight Anthem, The Holy Steady, Fake problems, chuck ragan, tim barry. just some of the last pure rock and roll bands left

  • Great song great expression

  • i could have yelled i still believe louder than the whole crowd!

  • now those are saints that i can believe in: joe strummer, johnny cash, mike ness, and all other rock n roll greats playing a simple kind of music

  • Saw him and Denver,... the best of all that night..... sorry Mike. Good choice for a touring mate though

  • A live album is in order

  • @Electroub

he's got a live album. called "take to the road". its friggin fantastic.

  • There are 2 types of people in this world: those who are madly in love with Frank Turner, and those who have never heard of him.

  • @christiemac1 haha thats a good one

  • I came to this show from Victoria B.C. to see Frank and he did not disappoint.

It was totally worth it and I'd fly 6 hours (or more) any day to see him again.

  • This guy has SO MUCH charisma.

  • Whose the harp player? That small part made my day xD

Yes rock n roll harmonica dreams!!!!!

  • What guitar is he using here? it has really nice tone

  • Reminds me a lot of Buddy Holly, the way he plays, and gets into the music.

  • like if eMeRiCaH sent u

  • kinda has a billy bragg feel

  • check us now!!

  • D-Did he mention Lucero? As in the band from Memphis? Wow o_o

  • @RinzRingtail According to the description this was while supporting them and Social D, so I guess he did! ^^

  • @Casettejongen I saw them live once; they used to be pretty good o.o

  • @RinzRingtail I haven't heard of them actually! Guess I'll have to check them out =)

  • wow this rocks!

  • O_O Amazing.... First time I ever listened to this guy and now I'm never gonna stop :)

  • 2:07 This smile represents how much he love music

  • @kevekman and at @3:02 aww he's just so happy :D

  • @kevekman he might just have been shown some boobs ;)

  • i can't believe i'd never heard this song before! love the lyrics x)

  • Crowd are damn shocking in this! Ruin a good effort from Frank!

  • This song is pretty good, he goes offtune at times but the lyrics are really good. The drums sounded weird but that was the engineers fault....what a loser!

  • Comment removed

  • @Edwardodude Well, "Who would have thought something so simple, something so small; it's rock & roll."

  • omg i wish i couldve gone :(

  • That was some passion.

  • sxdx

  • KANYE! KANYE !

  • I love Frank Turner so much. His vocals are amazing.
