  • I just clicked on this outta the blue and didn't know what was going on but I knew that David's character was a bit off and scatter-brained, maybe damaged. His acting is so spot on :o

  • @Izlandzadi14 and of course I'm talking about the first few minutes of the vid because that was a bit of an understatement as far as the entire clip lol

  • My boyfriend's father is brain-damaged, and so I speak from experience when I say David Tennant acted this part GODDAMN BRILLIANTLY.

  • "Whatcha doing that for?"

    "For my records."

    Lolz, best save ever.

  • It's sooo painful seeing David Tennant like that!!!

  • "got a trip to the post office, can't miss that" doesn't matter how brain damaged you are everybody can do decent sarcasm

  • "For my records..." well now David, you sounded a bit like Brendon Block there, not Alan.

  • wow..makes me feel so down... and this stupid woman.. "he`s sick in the head" ...oh really??? what is she´s thinking.. arrrrg..

  • David Tennant at his magnificent best <3

  • this whole film is making me cry. it's brilliantly done.

  • WHY did they let him do a job ON HIS OWN they could have had some one to look over him !

  • They let him do a job because they were in denial. This man was their boss and they can't come to terms with reality. It just shows how this sort of thing affects EVERYONE, not just family. DT is brills tho, I just want to give him a big HUG lol!

  • yer its the best i have ever seen him really ! but what i mean is they would surly have so one to help him if they new he had brain damage .

  • But he sounds so rational, they WANT to believe he's ok. So they give him what they think is a simple job. mental problems can be spasmodic unfortunately : you seem fine one moment and doo-lally the next.

  • yer you right there. one moment you think o wow he is so much better now and then he is naked in the living room floor !

  • I want to punch Jonathan in the face. :|

  • aaaw 7:54 is sooooo sad :'(

  • i cant watch this its too depressing!

  • nooo i don't want to see what's next !! and any time i just can't help myself, i have to see it ='( !!!

  • why the heck did he go back to work ? he can't even handle dressing by himself !!!

  • this is so sad :( i feel so sorry for him :(

  • Magnificent example of an actor who can do it all.

    Love you David.

  • Does anyone agree with me that throughout the whole movie you just want to go up to David Tennant and give him a hug and say everything is gonna be okay?

  • Yeah, it makes you feel like doing that and saying things will get better - bless him.

  • Only movie besides Titanic that actually made me cry.

  • Yeah, and it also makes me want to grab that stupid woman with the kitchen and tell her where to go! It's so horrible that he lost his job because some moron couldn't understand :/

    /rant

  • "What you looking for?"

    "Whats gone wrong."

This is just...genius. Genius writing, genius acting...genius everything. (M'not even sure how to spell that word...but its all GENUIS!)

  • @CountessSaucepans That line KILLED me. I burst into tears and had to pause the video while I bawled. He's such an absolutely brilliant actor.

  • God, Johnathon is such a bitch. If he wasn't there the day of the accident, it wouldn't have happened, he took the poor guy's job and now he got him fired because it was his great idea to bring him back too soon. He's not even TRYING to help anymore. He's the boss, he can help him keep his job! GOD.

  • Genericusername337 - *Harrumphs in agreement*

  • I feel so sorry for him :'(

  • "What you looking for?"

    "What's gone wrong."

    :(

  • i would like him to take a photo pf me on his phone though ;) Haha BRILL actor. I love him! :) x

  • Totally apart from the misery of the story... Tennant looks HOT naked!

  • she had no right to call him sick in the head tis not his fault

  • "i used to have a full time job ...now i've become one..."

    *sobs*

    it's just so desperately sad

brilliant acting though, it feels so real

  • Oh! break my heart why don't you Tennant...

  • everyone is feeling sorry for alan but what about tricia?

shes trying so hard to keep the family together and get alan healthy again.

  • When He's Sat In That Bathroom :( I Could Just Cuddle Him And Tell Him Its Okay :D

  • Oh poor Alan he's doing his best he just doesn't know what's wrong.

  • WHY haven't they got in touch with a support group of some kind?? I know Tricia was in denial earlier on, but surely she must be at her wit's end by now. So frustrating to watch.

  • oh my poor (Alan) more like david tennant but anyway

  • 'You should see my kitchen. I set fire to it... by accident...' Lol! I mean it's not funny, but DT is just wow.

  • i just want to run up to him hug him

  • i feel soo sorry for him..

  • at 9:53 you can see the sound boom at the top of the screen

  • you can! roflll

you just cant get the staff nowerdays!

  • It must be so hard on them, especially Tricia, I dont know how I owuld cope with it. You would have to be so strong! Im desperately sorry for Alan, the poor dear! David Tennant shows that he is definitely more than a pretty (hot sexy etc) face - thats if anyone even doubted it!

  • I cried when his little boy was looking through his hair and his older son says "what're you look'n for?"

"what's gone wrong" ....it was so sad.

  • that little boy was so tender... am in tears

  • I don't know if I could take it, to just have the person crash like that turning themself into a little kid again....

  • nice beard

  • david is such a good actor and play the part really well it does show the true effect of brain injury from losing somthing inside yourself to losing everything around you . brain injury is such a long road to recovey i had a brain heamorrhage in 2004 and really can identify with this story.....

  • im sorry to hear about that. xx

  • good to know you feel bette now. =)

  • I HATE that woman who wants the fan replaced, she's so self-involved and ridiculous. On a lighter note, by God David is SO brilliant at acting.

  • Beautiful acting. Simply beautiful. (As is David Tennant lol)

  • yes a mic on the top screen ... :)

  • is that the microphone at the top of the screen at 9:53

  • It certainly does look like it.

  • "What're you looking for?"

    "What's gone wrong."

OHH. I cried at that part. This show is utter brilliance, but it's so difficult to watch. =(

  • :( it was awful wasn't it?

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! would love this on DVD!

  • I hate how that guy says, "Patricia's on her way to collect you." My god, this is sad.

  • "ive got a trip to the post office, cant miss tht"

    sound a bit happier mate!

  • OMG I feel so bad for this family, it's painful but I wanna see them be happy.

  • Aww, the part where the little lads looking through his hair is so sad =( 'what're you looking for?' 'whats gone wrong' Amazing acting all around.

  • i cried form start to finish, and i dont do that

  • "I set fire to it... by accident." I really shouldn't be giggling. :[

    this is tragic

  • If u look right at the end of this vid you can see the camera microphone at the top of the screen! lol

  • yes man yes! lol!

    xxx

  • Wow, this programme is very tragic.

  • OMG, this is so heartwrenching. Both David and Sarah's performances are so moving.

  • thanks xxx

  • He's even better in this than he is in Doctor Who

  • god i have never wanted to cry so much in my life over a programme

  • i would take care of him /// i love u Doctor
