  • How do the sperm survive?

  • In hard chrome electroplating only chromic acid can be used.

You use chromic acid as a source of chrome and some sulfuric acid as source of sulfate ions you will need some lead parts as anode material.

I wouldn't recommend to use this type of electroplating at home. It's dangerous technique which complicated as well. It's not that easy to deal with if you plan to plate many parts.

  • Hi, i just wanna know can chromic acid be used to chrome plate... and if so how's the process...or probably to create a chromic bath... can you please give me more info.. so i can try it at home.. instead of shelling out a lot of bucks...

  • hi any diea on how to pull silver plate off to gater the pure silver thank you

  • @Pawnbroker00 we are you so rude, somebody can't ask a question with out your insults, you must be a real class act.

  • It pretty much is anodizing, just a little different.

  • è cancerogeno!

  • O.O

  • nice

  • Oh yeah :)

  • ooops, I think I meant to say 'di-chromic acid... where can I obtain a supply of chromium trioxide, and what should I expect to pay for it? What is the H2cr2O7 to water ratio to make dichromic acid for plating over copper? You help would be appreciated!

  • Frogfot used to have a step by step tutorial method of producing dichromate salts on his website...email him if you would like help.

  • to make hychromic acid, what is the chromium trioxide to water ratio?

  • Where do you get the positive and negative clips shown here?

  • Radio Shack or any electronics supply store... we have Munier and King Electronics here.

  • put vinegar and salt together in a glass container and hook up the positive end 1.5-9volt battery to the type of metal you want to plate something with and put it in the solution. leave it for 30 mins to an hour and then attach what you want to plate the the negative side of the battery. Put that into the solution and leave it for about 25 mins and ta-da, you have plated somthing.

  • so you put say vinegar into a beaker, connect a 6 volt battery to the piece of metal u wanna plate and watch it turn into gold?

please help me im not sure?

  • well u put vinegar+salt or CuSO4+water and put the object u want to plate and the metal u are plating with (copper, iron, zinc, etc). u connect the terminals of the battery in such way that the cathode(+) is on the object you are plating ad the anode(-) on the metal you are plating with

  • The cathode is the - part and the anode is +

  • @sodr2 why would you click this video if you don't see the purpose of electroplating?

  • @dominorbi1 because was studying it in school?

  • Will this work with copper coins?

  • yes it will but not good, first you have to clean the copper very good the best way is to do it with electric energy, and is it better to plate the surface of the coin with nickel after that you can chrome plating the surface it will be very good (sorry my english is terrible)

    greetings from a german electroplater

  • amazing! speechless!!!! ecstatic!!!!
