  • baseball is my favorite sport and then basketball ! its not a boring sport you just gotta think a little when you play it.

  • I will say this most players hit homeruns because they aren't comfortable with each other in doing the little things. It takes two to make things go right. Guy on first needs to be comfortable at the batter that he will make the play to get him to second. Vice-versa. Players trusted Aaron in that he was going to make the play with his bat whether its a grounder or a liner that nobody's is going to catch.

  • lol 1:07...but ur right though all of a sudden mark maguire and sammy sosa just broke roger maris's record...the barry bond got pissed off that they were getting all the attention so he got jacked up on sterroids and broke mcguires record. AND THEY ALL CHEATED.

  • shut the f up ur just jallous

  • Case and point being Prince Fielder (who hasn't hit as many homers this year) pay close attention every time he has a 2 strike count. he will drill his ass so far in to the ground to try and crush one, My theory is he has absolutely no 2-strike approach so he swings his ass off and in doing so, pulls his head away from the ball (if you can't see it, you can't hit it) that's why he has so fewer homers compared to last year.

  • No Hank Aaron is wrong.

  • u were smackin balls... haha jk nice brief.. def should be on espn

  • I totally agree on Hank.. I too consider him the ALL-TIME home run king

  • ryan james howard > hank aaron

  • @DallasWillAlwaysSuck Hank Arron has the most homeruns in the MLB, he is better than Babe Ruth, HE IS THE BEST BASEBALL PLAYER EVER

  • @keemojr technically bonds has the most homers.

  • @DallasWillAlwaysSuck true, but im not sure he took steriods cause i haven't heard anything about a steroid test.

  • Baseball players are not stupid, but I would agree that some players are just worrying about hitting home runs. But Baseball need competition and when there is someone that is trying to break records and made it without cheating is more power to them. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see me in the MLB. Believe that!

  • Hes just scared of players passing him on the HR list, players now a days r more athletic and stronger than those days thats why we r hitting more HR

  • @askarana exactly!

  • Albert Pujols is still the best player in baseball. Yes, he does always try to hit homeruns but, he can still for average (career .334 average to go along with 371 HRs) but, my favorite player right now, easily is Hanley Ramirez. The guys 26 and is already (arguably) the best SS right now. I don't get to watch many Marlins games but, from what I have seen this guy will be good for a LONG time

  • @SabinRules7569 Hell Yea he is

  • jr they arent stupid. the only one whos stupid is you. why? because barry bonds is the mother fukin home run king. thats why.

  • Phils and yanks(who i don't like) r the top two smatest teams in baseball, go phillies

  • This is why Jeter is still the best player in baseball

  • Brady ANderson... 50 HRs as a lead off hitter. Never hit more than 17 in his career before or after...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...smaking balls

  • "smacking balls all over the place" lmao

  • I wonder what proportion of runs are scored in mlb by homeruns compared to other times in history. I'm a Twins fan and suddenly we've got a grip of monsters crushin' the bawl.

  • @summerease a twins fan ?! i'm so sorry , go red sox !

  • almost every single left power hitter has a low average and a shift put on every at bat

  • To me, baseball is an old man sport that was "the old ball game" 100 years ago. Things change, like how in the 50's racing was cool and hip, now racing has the hick stereotype. Really baseball is the pitcher and catcher doing all the work, so many out of shape guys in baseball for it being a pro sport.

  • That is what alot of players get paid for now days.

  • The San Francisco Giants are situational hitters in 2010!

  • sup jr!! you gotta put a vid on the holms to the jets!! would love to know what you think!

  • @allstarjerseyshop Jets winning it all this year, Crazy Manny!

  • That's be great if teams were to concentrate on the "fundamentals", it leaves the organizations that focus on plate discipline with an easier way to win the game. The higher the OBP and SLG is, the more runs you score.

  • The Hammer is right completely! Baseball players are still treating the game like it's the 90's/early 00s when the HR totals were just crazy high! MLB needs to return to the days where stolen bases, sacrifice bunts, strategical hitting actually mattered and it could be doing that with the HR totals decreasing lately.

But what can I say. After all, chicks dig the longball.

  • not dumb, just greedy and self-centered.

  • i think carlos quentins on roids

  • jr make a santonio holmes is a jet video it would kick ass =)

  • JR Santonio Holmes is a JET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree with hank ..... adrian beltre hit 48hr 1 year after that didnt hit over 26. some of these players have u thinking .....

  • i agree with hank

  • Alfonso Soriano is an example of someone that basically doesn't understand batting and just tries to destroy the ball every time he's up. Hes a bum cuz he doesn't know how to bat like a good baseball player

  • Hank couldn't be more right. I call him a baseball expert, as he knew exactly what to do on the field and in the batting order. Everyone swings for the fences. I was checking out a couple videos... and I found one guy who does this all the time in Fenway: DUSTIN PEDROIA! The guy is a midget and tries to hit over the Green Monster.

One reason why I love the way Mike Scioscia manages is because he works fundamentals. He works with speed, contact, sac bunts, the hit and run... all that good stuff.

  • i agree hank Aaron is the all time home run leader in my opinion but to be honest back in the day these guys hitting these balls out of the park every night go me interested in baseball again. Now its kind of old and i would like to see some actually baseball being played now instead of all these swinging for the fences plays.

  • Hank is right! Take away ALL his homeruns and he still has over 3,000 hits!

  • to put it quite simply

    More homeruns = More Money

  • Every professional sports are losing their fundamentals.

  • The Twins are errorless so far, and their hitting and base running couldn't be better :]

  • @hippowithnoodles444 Same with the Blue Jays :)

except they had 1 error today i think :P

i didnt think that would play this well ahaha

  • He's right in terms of batting order. Players early in the lineup don't concentrate enough on drawing walks or stolen bases, every player tries to be a power hitter.

  • Green Hat lol

  • Honestly i think its the way the game has evolved. Its a different kind of game now days. i Think the game is slowly getting back to the basics. You don't see HRs like you did during the 90s boom.

  • lol @ "smackin balls" :D

  • NOOO!! You beat me to it! Anyway, the players aren't stupid, they're misguided (Or is that the same thing :P)

  • I love Hammerin Hank - come watch a Braves game with me, JR! ;D

  • the home run rate wont go down if you play at yankee stadium, and yes i do agree that pros swing for the fences because they want the glory that others have

  • i have no idea what u were talking about ... baseball not my thing

  • i ussally dont do dis , but am i 1st ? :D
