@RpgMakerVXTutor Yes, probably not in our immediate surroundings, the closest sunlike star to Earth is 10.5 light years away, but is only 1 billion years old, to little time for intelligence to develop. However like in this docco, there could be a couple of intelligent beings within 40 light years, but however not at our level of intelligence, like the eo sapiens shown here. So that could account for lack of contact, as we could be the only space-faring life-forms in this area of the galaxy

So whos to say intelligence didnt occur somewhere else in the infinite cosmos, and the conditions for life. I think this kind of life form is possible but it will be a minority out there. Easiest to evolve is, simple for our mind, and everywhere in universe, the kind that support ourself with legs and arms, or similar, on the firm ground. NA dlife is most prone to exist with sun that in the similar to our own. Big Sun has shorter life and distructive with great fluctuations. Smaller one's are feable and should have fewer planets in orbits, consequently fewer organic materials would be brought in.

I remember being excited to see this on TV but was disappointed at the CGI and most of the Alien designs. After seeing Walking with Dinosaurs I thought Discovery Channel would hire them to do fictional documentarys every time. But it still dose its job at opening imaginations and making others think what could be out there?

I like the project to discover this all. But the making contact part with intelligence life-forms is very bad, i mean we make contact with them with a holograph. We human's our best sense organ is seeing, and we try to make contact with a seeing technollogy( the holograph). But if we see here on earth the most animals here can hear or smell better and see not very good, even some can't see! We must have more way's to make contact.

Life evolves the same way in the universe as life is only a natural evolution of the universe just like stars and planets form as spheres, life converges as well and there is no life but the one life. However.. what you will find is SIMILAR life forms.. CONVERGENCE. Just as you DONT find square planets, you wont find an abundance of flying purple octopuses (thats not to say it COULDN'T happen, just less likely). When I say you've missinterpreted my point, I mean you may indeed find lions on other worlds but perhaps the atmosphere requires something more like that of an amphibious frogs skin. Do not forget, dolphins are "mammals"........

The hypothetical planet portrayed has both a stronger gravity than earth, and an atmosphere of heavier gases. Just one of these differences would fundamentally alter the evolution of earthbound life. while there are indeed aspects of Terrestrial life we can likely expect to see in extra terrestrial life, it would be incredibly unlikely for alien life to resemble earth life in more than a peripheral way
