@Tepadj Not surprising. Even on Earth, predators have evolved superior intelligence. That's because it takes brains to hunt animals instead of eating stationary food like plants.
@RpgMakerVXTutor Yes, probably not in our immediate surroundings, the closest sunlike star to Earth is 10.5 light years away, but is only 1 billion years old, to little time for intelligence to develop. However like in this docco, there could be a couple of intelligent beings within 40 light years, but however not at our level of intelligence, like the eo sapiens shown here. So that could account for lack of contact, as we could be the only space-faring life-forms in this area of the galaxy
@RpgMakerVXTutor You cant really say Earth is a perfect place, because there are trillions of other star systems out in the universe, which is so many chances for other Earths. So whos to say intelligence didnt occur somewhere else in the infinite cosmos, and the conditions for life. So there could be other perfect planets with similar paths of the evolution. There could be millions of other what some humans call 'perfect planets'
@gschneider37 If you watched the probes hologram it flashed one symbol, then two symbols, then three symbols... what comes next? (don't feel bad- I had it pointed out to me by my girlfriend ) >_<
I think this kind of life form is possible but it will be a minority out there. Easiest to evolve is, simple for our mind, and everywhere in universe, the kind that support ourself with legs and arms, or similar, on the firm ground. NA dlife is most prone to exist with sun that in the similar to our own. Big Sun has shorter life and distructive with great fluctuations. Smaller one's are feable and should have fewer planets in orbits, consequently fewer organic materials would be brought in.
I remember being excited to see this on TV but was disappointed at the CGI and most of the Alien designs. After seeing Walking with Dinosaurs I thought Discovery Channel would hire them to do fictional documentarys every time. But it still dose its job at opening imaginations and making others think what could be out there?
wtf those are aliens i just saw them yesterday in my dreams but my mind is awake you know that feeling? i can't even move my body but i was able to open my eyes and see but at a little glimpse where i covered my eyes i saw those arms weird and scary
I mean... they can interact as a group and can hold weapons like sticks.
They use spikes to shoot air-bourne prey out of the sky.
And it as if they are so intelligent, they even scare 7-story creatures like the sea strider. And they even understand the hollogram from the probe. And if they see a thing [ such as the camera disks] they attack it and carry them away to a cliff that seems to have some sort of buildings. They might in millions of years, be like us.
@cris123456789274 sure they are, the Von Braun was launched in the 60's to explore a planet outside our solar system looking for life, these transmissions just arrived last year.
@Gashopoide They are not real, this is a docufiction, in other words, is a documentary of how an alien planet COULD be, in the 60's there was no thing as supercomputers, heck! computers with the capacity of a calculator where the size of entire rooms.
I like the project to discover this all. But the making contact part with intelligence life-forms is very bad, i mean we make contact with them with a holograph. We human's our best sense organ is seeing, and we try to make contact with a seeing technollogy( the holograph). But if we see here on earth the most animals here can hear or smell better and see not very good, even some can't see! We must have more way's to make contact.
a very cool docco. enjoyed it thoroughly. finally good to see depictions of intelligent life not being the 2 eye, arms and legs bipedal humanoids that is all too often shown in movies.
that michio kaku scientist is a little overly optimistic. we have no idea how intelligent extra terrestrials will react to us. they could be extremely hostile. by intelligent i mean alien civilizations.
@JRod8885 lol there was a stephen hawking article about how aliens might treat us the way we treated native americans when the north/south america was discovered.
@YamiPoyo Do you realy think we are? I think we are realy stupid, we are killing our own planet! Because we think more about money, then to our lives or other's. And if you only mean in science, we can make much but we can't handle it! And it's just so primitive. Much things that we make, go wrong. Like aids, you now we made it? and now we lost control! Very smart! realy i hate people that are so short-sighted.

Sad... Do not fall for the idea aliens would look like this. Life evolves the same way in the universe as life is only a natural evolution of the universe just like stars and planets form as spheres, life converges as well and there is no life but the one life. Our best scientific minds LOL... Lies! Fun to watch but complete lies! Children's dreams.... Life swim, life walks upright because those are the best methods UNIVERSAL laws have established!
@mrtruthify So in any planet with life we are sure to find lions, birds, bears, jellyfishes, sharks;etc. and the intelliget life will look exactly like us?
@DocJoze No.. You have missed the point my dear..
However.. what you will find is SIMILAR life forms.. CONVERGENCE. Just as you DONT find square planets, you wont find an abundance of flying purple octopuses (thats not to say it COULDN'T happen, just less likely). When I say you've missinterpreted my point, I mean you may indeed find lions on other worlds but perhaps the atmosphere requires something more like that of an amphibious frogs skin. Do not forget, dolphins are "mammals"........
@mrtruthify Life on earth is the result of the selective pressures unique to our environment. The hypothetical planet portrayed has both a stronger gravity than earth, and an atmosphere of heavier gases. Just one of these differences would fundamentally alter the evolution of earthbound life. while there are indeed aspects of Terrestrial life we can likely expect to see in extra terrestrial life, it would be incredibly unlikely for alien life to resemble earth life in more than a peripheral way
@Examiner151 Your an odd fellow.. by your own unsupported statements U have still given my statement more weight.. Dont U see? U have stated 3 fundamental influences that could affect lifes course of evolution.. ALL of which can & have been studied here on Earth. What U FAIL to realize is your points become moot when U take ALL the possible variables in to account & yet we still see life converging here.. Again.. I'll point U to dolphins, whales etc. Not fish but mammals that LOOK like fish....
@mrtruthify but thats the thing we cant imagine what we dont know i cant even defend what im saying or defie ti any better because its IMPOSSIBLE any question i can answer is by i dont know becuse we DONT KNOW but dot you think that would be awesome a floating purple farting octopus thing
