if you thought logically as any company would, you would realize that sponsoring this kid would do one thing for your company - give you more exposure and publicity equalling more sales and customers. whether he is talented at an adult level or not is irellevant - the fact that he is shown on national television or brings in a large audience at a convention is what the drum caompny really cares about.

not to mention (i dont know the specifications of his sponsership), but i doubt the drum company would invest large sums of money on a child - most probably he is sponsered with using their equipment for free which isnt much of a risk or a loss when you count the exposure and publicity.

many amature athletes and musicians are sponsored before they become marketable and popular - most smart companies realize you cant put all your eggs into one basket.
