  • I've got this on vinyl for ages and didn't really care much about it, since it came as a gift for subscribing a Metal mag - and my turntable is done for. I downloaded the MP3s some 2 weeks ago just out of curiosity/nostalgia, and was like "Oh sh*t this album is totally EPIC, how come I never noticed it?!" RIP Wendy O.

  • @grimorkh Yeah, it's ludicrous that this isn't held up as a classic by more people.

It has an amazing sound, the most brutal lyrics I've ever heard (if you actually think about them. really heavy existential shit), and the songs are so heavy it's just face-ripping.

"You're a Zombie" is like black metal before black metal.

I need the vinyl... to hang on my wall.

  • what gourgeus song is that one which start at the minute 0:28??????? which is the name, and who is performed from?

  • Hands down my favorite Plasmatics album! Thanks for posting. Wishing Wendy was still with us but, respecting her choice to check out when and how she chose.

  • that's not punk, that's metal.

  • my nipples are hard

  • actually ur wrong this is a 1987 album setting25 years in the future so, its 2012 just look around things are crumbling

  • Kinda sad. Punk was so sure the world was going to end in 1976. Didn't happen. Post punk was quite sure the world would go to hell in a hand basket because of global warming or war. Didn't happen.

    Give up.

    It ain't gonna happen.

We're all gonna be here to be very very old people...

... and wonder why we were all so afraid of nothing.

  • @v1e1r1g1e1 as a little kid in my neighbourhood once said: "soon, we'll all be dead"

  • @v1e1r1g1e1 Actually mr. smartypants. the punk prophets of the day DKennedys and the like were predicting a twisted future. WW3 is coming. They never breakup a set. ur useless fodder.

  • A re release is needed with the state of the environment. Wendy we need you !.

  • chills.... goose bumps...

that's one intense woman... and band!

  • I wish someone would post some videos from the Maggots tour!

  • what version of youre a zombie is this? is different than the cd version

  • Ill have to go back and relisten but it might be "finale"(last track on the album).

  • Yes its from "Finale" not "You're A Zombie".

  • @fleshborn13 awesome! thanks man.

  • what version of youre a zombie is that? its different than the cd version

  • what is this!

  • its wendy o go check out butcher baby and masterplan

  • I saw the Plasmatics in Lafayette LA back in the 80's. All I can say is WOW!

  • excelent classic video!!!

  • Wes Beech is still a fox!!! I wanna be inside his DNA!!!! :D (Ya, I know, I'm being a stupid girlfan, so what!).

I saw them live in Boston in 1981 at a nightclub. I was only 16 so I had to sneak into soundcheck, but I got to meet Wendy and got her autograph. She was SUPER SWEET! :)

I love the character of "Joe White" on Maggots cuz he's so obnoxiously funny! Like when he takes the baseball bat "There's not gonna be ANY f*ckin MAGGOTS in MY house!...." LOL!!! YOU GO JOE!!! Love this one!

  • The greatest album ever made.

  • I love this vid!

  • For those not familiar with "Maggots: The Record"...it's a must have classic punk addition to have. A largely unknown and unheard of recording, this was a big production. I love the mixture of sci-fi, horror and old time radio documentary broadcast feel of this recording (kind of like a musical production of War Of The Worlds). Rarely found in any musical production specifically meant for audio; the writing, acting and music are simply terrific. 5 stars! Punk rock at it's best!

  • i second that. i almost blew the car speakers with this album

  • I got that CD from Amazon less than a year after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the CD's references to cloning, ozone pollution & bio-terrorism gave me the chills, since the band was so far ahead of their time! ELI ROTH OR LUCIFER VALENTINE SHOULD MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF THIS!!

  • Wendy O Williams and Ann Boleyn's band Hellion were both signed to Music For Nations Records at the same time. They did some interviews together on TV. Wendy O williams was promoting Maggots and Ann was promoting Hellion's CD The Black Book. Does anybody have this video?

  • My drummer and I went on this tour with them! It was the Plasmatics reunion tour. They were really cool to us!!! We really got into it and threw gummy maggots on stage that Wendy stomped on and threw back at us!!! My favorite picture of her and I was on this tour! It was a picture of her and I as she had her hands wrapped completely around my throught while I was screeming!..All for the camera of course! That was one tour I'll never forget! The Mentors opened one of the nights at Fenders!!!!

  • Wendy is dea, how long ago was your tour?

  • plasmatics rock

  • maggots the record made me actually take note of global warming that only now is being addressed, so who says there's nothing to learn from rock and roll? r.i.p. w.o.w.

  • Want to know what's ironic (or worse)? At around the time Maggots was made Tipper Gore, Mr. Nobel Prize Al Gore's wife (who lived in a home using more energy than somehting like 20 average American homes at the time he won it) was holding Wendy's records up as ones that should have warning labels on them and kept away from young people.

  • Don't get angry with Tipper too much, she hasn't liked any music made after the invention of electricity.

  • @cinemondo404 Always hated Tipper for her anti-rock stances, so it was hard to embrace her global warming pitch, truly ironic the 180 degree turn.

    RIP w.o.w.

  • @bluescat59 When so many of Al (Wh)ore's supporters in 2000 were rappers, Tipper mellowed down her rhetoric and the PMRC's voice faded. HMMMM....makes you wonder.....

  • An even earlier reference to global warming is made in the 1957 Japanese monster movie Rodan. You'll see it near the beginning of the movie. Seems they were talking about this before I was even born.

  • @bufufubu Well stated

  • The song You're a zombie sounds way diffrent is this video.

  • "I'm inside your DNA. You can't make me go away!"

  • Whats not to love?

  • Like the Misfits, WOW & Plasmatics captured your imagination - it was like listening to a horror/sci-fi movie and the music was always screaming with Wendy screaming over it like no other vocalist could.

  • R.I.P Wendy

  • W.O.W. is la VERGA!!

  • Wheres the video when she drives a car from a mountain?

  • Fucking Great Viva Plasmatics,Rip Wendy

  • W.O.W.

  • I love this vid!

  • SOLDIERS FOR THE DNA

    DISSIDENTS ARE PUT AWAY

DRAGGED OFF IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT

    DISAPPEAR WITHOUT A SIGHT!

Sound like anything going on today? Killer album! Killer DVD! My favorite for sure!

  • Excellente, Wendy and Plasmatics records should be required listening at HS and College!!

  • ...and beyond.
