  • yes, but will it blend?

  • Whoa

  • thank u mythbusters lol

  • That's insane haha

  • Try to catch the Bottle :)

  • launch frozen water bottles! or molotovs

  • that was F***ING AWSOME!!!!!

  • o my god!!!!!!

  • I just got a knew compressor that go's up to 350 psi I got a pease of rod poot a point on it got a a half inch tube shot it at an old car throe one door and out the uthere side it's so much fun

  • geil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @CepilloTv are you serious?! Its thunderstruck!!!!

  • You could probably get that tank up to 300psi. Take a look at my latest video. My cannon is made of a grill propane tank and a 3 inch pvc pipe. It shoots pepsi bottles 1/4 mile on only 150psi. I am making a stronger one right now, though I don't know why lol! Looking at the land around YOUR house, you could probably hit the side of that mountain if you upgraded your cannon a little bit.

  • What´s the song name ?

  • i wanna see how far it goes

  • the cinder block you shot at is probably only 1.5 or 2 inches thick and also cinder blocks are soft compared to other bricks so it doesn't require much energy to break. I made an air cannon that can blow a 4 inch thick brick twice the size of the one you used to hundreds of pieces, it can also shoot a water bottle straight up in the air so high it goes out of sight.

I will post a video of it soon, you should check it out maybe you will get some ideas.

  • its to big for me :)

  • are they long shorts or short longs ?

  • holy shit did you change the water bottle with a steal ball

  • use it to threaten ur gf to get layed

  • thats cool me and my friend were playing with his im gonna post a vid soon about it and it shooting

  • wow thats cool Mine is a airsoft gun compared to this lol. check it out at my channel

  • Great job! Myself and some coworkers made these for a corncob chucking contest a few years back, great fun. Just remember that having a bigger tank will not yield any higher power, only more consistent pressure release. The power of the cannon is limited by air pressure, the minimum ID of the plumbing, and how fast you can open the valve. Great soundtrack BTW! Nice work!

  • where did you get that tank?

  • Nice :D

What sort of length is good for the barrel?

  • a tennis ball at 500mph???!!!!!!????

  • that has quite a air chamber. too bad you used a ballvalve. you should have used a quicker opening valve or at least attached a wooden plank to the ball valve to increase leverage.

  • @Australiaroo That is the real trick to these cannons, they are limited by how fast you can open the valve, or how far you get the valve open before the projectile leaves the barrel. You can't really use a butterfly valve because they will bleed the pressure from the tank. The only other types of valves you can really use are solenoid/piloted air valves, or a mechanical system to open the ball valve.

  • @ab48726 to which the extent you are elaborating i am assuming you are an educated person in spudding in which i question because using a piston valve doesnt leak if you build correctly

  • @Australiaroo LOL, not educated, only mildly experienced. But I have done a bit of research and put some thought into the processes involved, aside from building one of my own. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a piston valve, I don't think I've seen one of those before. Can you explain how they operate?

  • @ab48726 a piston valve is a valve that you create that functions as air pressure is inserted into the cannon, a piston with a sealing face is slid forward and seals the barrel. to activate and therefore shoot the cannon, a small amount of air is let out behind the piston via blowgun or ball valve which creates a vacuum and sucks the piston back, hence exposing the barrel. now the compressed air leaves the air chamber and out the barrel. Piston valves result in accurate and powerful cannons

  • awsome vid you should make a cement progectile probaly take down a tank lol how much psi

  • this shot was about 100-120 psi. I can't remember exactly

  • @regolithe if that was 100 to 120 psi how could the ball valve hold that much? because i have a half inch ball valve and it holds...well i don't really know. never mind.

  • @regolithe "only" 100psi.. The air volume of that tank is what holds the takedown power. My lil compressor at 145psi wouldnt do that, nice!

  • i doubt this is true but next video u make lift up the block to show it isnt prebroken cuz u dont want negative comments. but i know that power did break that..... and if it was frozen could have went though a fence.... then a house..... then back into the frezzer.... lolz

  • search for crazy air cannon pt. 2. I shoot a frozen soda can through a cinder block. I promise, there is no need to pre-break these blocks.

  • @Strike3721Ben Fucking retard.

  • lol safety glasses more like a steel wall. lol nice air gun. bigist ive seen haha

  • wear some safety glasses

  • I dare you to put your hand in front of the cannon and shoot!

  • @GreekBeast02 lmao omg biggest dare ever

  • You're mad! lol...you can destroy a car, house, or...with this cannon. do not take it at school.

  • lol dont stay to close when it shoot

  • OH SNADS!!! Killer power

  • nice work dude i built one similar to yours but definitely not as powerful

  • If you're really concerned about failure go Sch 40 steel. Sch 80 if you wanna go nuts. Pressures listed are often max failure rate, so standard sch 40 pvc is good to around 500psi AIR OR WATER. Normal compressors top out at 150, so ya're fine. A decent ($15) ball valve is good to 400-500 psi too.

Combustible cannons, that's a different ballgame.

  • Just as a safety measure, I'd wrap the whole thing with rope and duct tape, just in case. Murphy's law being what it is and all. I had a regular combustion potato gun blow up on me using hairspray and it took half my hand with it, left a contusion the size of a football on my leg, and they pulled 22 pieces of shrapnel from my leg and arm. That was just hairspray. The projectile decided not to move that time and BOOM. Just be careful, that's all I'm saying, and have fun!

  • Comment removed

  • It's actually quite possible, seeing that PVC shatters when it explodes, and the shards would go considerably fast as the burst pressure is over 500psi... Just saying.

  • Exactly what happened. Posted a video explaining exactly what happened as a response to this comment, thanks Joel.

  • holy crap it broke the cinder block

  • and my cannon would destroy the bottle before it left the barrel? and it has a way smaller tank

  • freeze the bottle

  • O_O?

  • that has at least over 200 psi in it

  • PVC doens't hold that much

  • pvc can hold up tp 500 psi.

    probably even higher.

but the pvc valves dont hold as much so its best to get a metal valve

  • bahahah wtf are you talking about 500psi as if. I have had Pressure PVC explode at 150psi

  • well then i guess you had some faulty pipes

  • uh no, it's called brand new pressure pipe, it happens all time. No PVC you can BUY holds 500psi, thats more than BBQ gas cylinders. DUHHHHHHHH

  • ok, then tell my why i have some pvc out in my garage that reads "limit: 480 PSI"

just drop it, you dont know what your talking about.

  • PVC is designed to hold liquids under pressure, not air. Also, PVC is designed to be used underground. There is a big difference between water under pressure and air under pressure. That pressure rating is for liquids, PVC is not intended for air.

  • it doesnt matter whats being contained, it still exerts the same pounds per square inch.

pressure has nothing to do with substance.

  • You're right that the same pressure is exerted, but the hazard is how it acts if it fails. With pressurized water, if the pipe fails the pipe bursts and the water pours out. With pressurized air, if the pipe fails it violently ruptures and PVC shards go flying and its just not a good situation to be in. PVC is not designed to flex a lot (like with sudden decompression) and every time it happens the pipe is weakened. It can fail the first time or the thousandth time. It's just dangerous.

  • a piece of paper could hold 100000psi if it was thick enuff , i beleive pvc could hold 500psi if it was thick enuff to , but this pvc in the video would hold 200

  • The PVC is after the ball valve, all pipes before it are metal, which means the PVC not actually holding pressure for very long unless you block the barrel up. Also i have a PVC air cannon that will hold 200 PSI... "DUHHHH"

  • Comment removed

  • umm u have to muhc spare time on ur hands buddy but thats cool

  • what pressure??

  • 115 psi

  • What size is the barrel? Please reply!

  • 2 1/2 inch barrel

  • is that four wheeler a kawasaki prarie 400?

  • no way!!

  • yeah AC/DC

  • it Thunderstruck

  • sweet.

  • iam speechless

  • what's the psi?

  • Presure Per Square Inch.

  • its pounds per square inch not pressure per square inch ahahahhaha

  • could it be mounted on you, portable smaller just as powerfull version?

  • sdfsdf

  • Measured how far can it throw a water bottle???

  • nice that is so cool!!!!!!!

  • oh and how many PSI r u useing?

  • cool dude, better than mine (but not by much) =]

  • nice intro

  • GOD!!

  • wow that thing is awesome!

    really well done.

  • until now i dodnt know it was pssible to break a cinder block with a water bottle...

  • Damn. ......

  • Holy heck!

what diameter is your barrel? I'm guessing it's a 3 incher

  • 2 1/2 inch. Perfect for water bottles, and tennis balls.

  • where did you buy that?

I just made a massive air cannon that has a two inch ball valve. I can shoot golf balls and ice slugs and super balls, but tennis balls and Water bottles would be awesome, three inches is too big...

I'm guessing there's a two and a half inch to two inch reducer?

  • woooooooooooooow gimme 1!

  • That is totaly unessisary, there is a certain size the air tank needs to be to match the barrel. That thing you got is to big, you cant move it aroud easly. 200 psi with a smaller tank can match what you have. As long as it can push the projectile with 120 psi till it leaves the barrel it would be just as good.

  • I used a calculator when i made mine, to get much more power after 120 psi your barrel has to be meters long =[

  • a fast valve helps

  • yeps

  • I didn't build this like an engineer. I built it based on the resources that were available to me. would a tank half that size been better? Yes. did i have access to one? um... no.

  • good job but i'm not sure use the gas bomb that fucking dangers lol !!!! its realty good you can normaly break the house with more shots but still use the gas bomb damn

  • What?

  • shoot some metal balls i would be cool

  • what psi did they use, cus for them to break concrete with a fuckin water, it had to have been high

  • 120 psi, roughly. You have to remember that it's a huge tank. 50 psi in a huge tank is a lot more stored energy than 200 in a small tank.

  • hah, thats awesome

  • don't kill yourself

  • put a shitload of pebbles in the water bottle

  • have you guys thought about using a solenoid valve? like the ones for backyard sprinklers? you can wire it up to a AC - DC adaptor like a phone charger and it dumps all the air out at once....

you can buy them at home depot for about 30$

    preeeeeeettyyy cool though

  • the rate of flow simply isnt enough.

  • I built an air cannon with exactly that setup, the valves are good up to about 150 psi, idk how much you're running, but it definitely beats the shit out of a ball valve. The valve is completely open before the projectile even moves, you can feel it open before you feel the recoil haha. Give it a try! ill pm you pics if you want.

  • can you pls tell me what's the size of the ball valve? and the barrel? en the hole in the air tank to the ballvalce thnx!!

  • OMG

  • dude fuck the bullshit m16 our army has give them some of these lol

  • ......

  • This thing would be fatal at close range

  • It's about 100 psi.

  • how much psi?

  • What's the rate of fire on that thing?

  • on shot per five minutes with that compressor.

  • Not very efficient for assault use.

  • hahahahahahahahahah

  • was the watter bottle already full of water or empty? was it closed? also, was the measuring of 550mph right outside of the muzzle?

  • the 550 mph is an average speed taken over a 22 foot trajectory.

  • waht was the ammo?

i built one out of pvc and a water bottle. and its powered by a bike pump lol =p

  • it was a bottle of arrowhead springwater. Right on man.

  • love the music...

  • thats freakin powerful

  • WTF?

  • So if you don't like your neighbors...Oh, a tennis ball broke your window? Sorry to hear that, must've been those kids across the street. I saw them playing tennis before...

  • how much psi ? mine is 60

  • lol

    awsome

    5 stars man

  • DAAAAYUMMMM

  • WHOA, and thats just a waterbottle, what could it do if you used a cannon?!?!

  • having a bigger valve would drasticly improve this gun's performance

  • ever try a baseball!?! or you can fill that bottle full of concrete.......that thing can blow away any millitary gun under the cannons.......BTW.......thats mach1 at 550 mph

512 is the speed of sound

  • Speed of sound is actually about 340 meters per second. Closer to 950 feet per second. At seal level. It gets bigger the higer you are.

  • numberonemusician: Speed of sound is closer to 750mph depending on altitude.

  • no at sea level its 760 mph

  • How long is your pvc? I made a short one at 35 inches long and it cost me 18 bucks after the grill igniter. A bit of hair spray and it will shoot 400 or so feet in the air easy. Get yourself a small gps and shoot it out covered in a sock and see how far it goes. It will also show speed.

  • that would kill a person.

  • HOLY SHIT i want BTW u need to use a 40 MM solenoid Valve is much better for your aiming

  • Omg, if it can cut through a brick, what could it do to a human?!?!?!

  • but the brick was right next it if you were killng a human it would probably be farther away unless ur executing them

  • PSI?

  • This was at about 75 psi. I did a shot once at 120. Never saw the tennis ball again. I don't know anything about ratios, but I know what happens when you put a lot of pressure beind a ball valve and let it go suddenly.

  • thanks.

  • JeeZUS!

  • rofl, nice

  • overkill is the best policy!long range video would be cool

  • Long range video would be damn near impossible. I shot a wter bottle straight up once, and it was in the air for over twenty seconds. If anyone could calculate how high it went, I would be appreciative.

  • you need a larger and faster valve for that thing, and try using helium instead of air, then it will be a monster

  • a flying monster!

    Just kidding...I know that wouldn't work :(

  • going to get a brass ball valve. better than the PVC for sure.

  • u guys need to shoot full waterbottles like a mile into the mountains in the background lol u mite hit a bear.

  • maybe, but probably not. I'd like to see what it could do to a person.... but not really.

  • because you had such a fast ploom of decompression gas at the end of the shot you can greatly gain performance with a larger barrel. You want to aim for a 1.5 : 1 chamber to barrel ratio. You would gain alot trust me on this :)

  • actually 1.5:1 is combustion usually 1:1 works well

  • 0.8:1 is the perfect ratio for a spray and prey combustion. Anything over that you are just creating unnecsary friction thus a lower muzzle velocity.

  • I don't know anything about the physics. At least to that specific of a degree. alls i know is that if you have a long barrel, and a bunch of pressure released as quickly as possible at one end of it, you can make things shoot out the other end really really fast.

  • do any of you guys know is there any company that build this kind of equipments

  • bring it to school with you

  • WOW imagine getting shot with that

  • why dont you just buy a tank

  • why not build a tank... theres a video of some guy who built a tank for his son out of ply wood and it has a built in pneumatic cannon

  • thats the daddy of all air cannons on you tube!!!!!how about a bottle of frozen water???

  • There's one with a frozen water bottle, check out my channel.

  • nice, good amount of power. You should use a quicker valve, although it seems to be doing the job just fine.

  • Це була дужа гарна

  • holy shit i want one

  • assim que nascem os terroristas

  • Say what? I don't speak whatever the hell that language is.

  • a bottle I think

  • It was a water bottle. plastic. I clocked a tennis ball coming out of this thing at over 400 mph. That was at 40 psi. This was at nearly 100 psi.

  • what did he shoot?
