  • *leads to fighting and getting others to reject the truth. As for means my house we'll follow Nephi's example stated in 1st Nephi 3:7 and exhort others to follow the path to obtain the fruits of the gospel, of Christ's love.

  • The wicked take the truth to hard. They either turn themselves around through the Divine Gift of Repentance, take upon them the name of Christ and seek to align themselves to God's will by holding to the iron rod (the scriptures) OR they will find the truth tone too hard and will continue down their path, which then

  • that was grate!

  • I love that "In this family we serve missions". I want to raise a family such as this. He has a way of effecting me, emotionally and spiritually that I cannot explain.

  • i <3 Elder Holland!!!

  • The ONLY reason theses leaders are using the adversary so often in their speeches, is because they're using him as leverage to scare people into getting them to serve the Mormon church how they want it to run, because they know they're losing more members of the LDS church everyday because they've been exposed more and more as more of a polytheistic religion, instead of Monotheistic like Christians believe. Mormonism contradicts Christian beliefs in many ways, already mentioned essential one.

  • @3Deditor Well, there are many things wrong with that. First of all, the church is growing at a ridiculous rate, not shrinking. There are close to 15,000,000 people in it! And it's growing every day. This talk is one of the few out there that has the adversary so commonly noted. And besides, Mormonism contradicts many Christian beliefs because many Christian beliefs are WRONG. And it's not Polytheistic at all. It's always been a Monotheistic religion.

  • @3Deditor The belief of every single Christian Religion is that there is God, and His Son, and the Holy Ghost. This never has changed. The ONLY difference is that we believe they are not the same being. Another thing; being unchaste, i.e. masturbation/addiction to pornography, does not help you in any way. 'Endorphins' is

not an excuse. All it brings into your life is stress. One last thing; you are not entitled to use the name Jeffrey, even though he will most likely never read this.

  • Sure Jeffrey, That's a Great way to mentally and emotionally Beat young men and women into submission to join the ranks of missionaryhood. Scare them into doing what's right and make them feel like complete unworthy beings for doing what comes naturally and healthy for humanity's sake! There is NOTHING wrong with Masturbation and using a little bit of a healthy imagination once in a while to help relive stress and kick in natural endorphins. Stop filling young minds with scare tactic b.s.!

  • @3Deditor I've been addicted to masturbation, and there's definitely something wrong with it. You CANNOT tell me that there's nothing wrong with it. Most of the time it doesn't relieve stress at all, but, instead, causes it. It also leads to becoming addicted to pornography, which I've also had a problem with in the past. It's hard to get mental images out of your head once you've watched enough pornography. It's something I personally don't want anymore, but I have to live with it, now.

  • @catobates you were addicted to masterbation Because you started watching Porn! Thats why you couldn't stop! Just be honest, admit it and tell your story straight! It's been Proven that reaching Orgasm releases natural endorphins the body needs to thrive and do well. Facts have proven that people who Orgasm more often, live healthier, longer lives. Porn creates the unrealistic addicting environment. Masturbation in it's self is Healthy and Natural. Animals even need to relieve themselves!

  • @3Deditor I'm not allowing you to fill my head with nonsense, nor allowing you to control the way I speak, act, or behave as a human being. I agree, nobody has the right to tell me when and how and what I should do with my body and health. I could stop, and I did. When you masturbate all the time, like I did, it is bad for you, that is also proven. If you masturbate too often, it is bad for you. You can and will get addicted to masturbation. Period. It is bad for you, in my opinion.

  • @catobates Anything that is overdone is Bad for you! Ever hear of the old saying, "Too much candy will make you sick!" It's true. You've got to have a healthy balance in life otherwise you'll only delude yourself and start believing what has been ingrained into your own thoughts and what others try to indoctrinate you with.

  • @3Deditor Honestly, you have no idea why I was addicted to masturbation. I still remember the first time I did it, and it wasn't because I watched porn. I wish I had never done it, but I did stop of my own volition. It took a lot of time, and much willpower, and I don't want to go back. I did not live a healthy life when I masturbated, I sat around all day and masturbated as much as I could, even without internet, or porn. Nowhere in the bible does it say masturbation is okay.

  • @catobates No where in the Bible does it ever mention that Masturbation and Orgasm is a healthy thing either. That's because people who wrote the bible thousands of years ago had very little research and knowledge of how the human body works like we have today. Times and knowledge change, time to get with the times and really educate yourself instead of relying on errant and superstitious things people believed hundreds and thousands of years ago. know your limits and don't let others blind you

  • @catobates Don't allow these men fill your head with nonsense or allow them to Control the way you speak, act and behave as a human being. Nobody has the right to enter your privacy and tell you when and how and what you should do with your own body and health. They certainly do not have a right to tell you how to live and make you feel less than worthy or good for doing what comes naturally and healthy. Alot of Mormons really need to start educating themselves, and stop deluding themselves.

  • @catobates What causes you stress and any other masterbating mormon stress, is the thought of guilt and remorse after they've done the deed, because these men use words to make you feel bad for doing that. It's a mind control tactic to see how rigid and faithful you'll be to the church. They'll use anything they can to test people's allegiance, even at other's health and expense. The other thing that causes stress is unrealistic expectations, such as wanting the person in the porn you lust after

  • @3Deditor There's a problem with what you're saying. I wasn't in the church when I felt these feelings, and I never actually wanted to have sex with those women. They were like jewelry, totally unnecessary, but nice to look at while I masturbated. The Word of Wisdom is not against other's health, is it? No, in fact, it is for one's health. In short, it wasn't these men's words that made me feel bad. I felt bad because of my own personal moral values, not based on what these men put forth.

  • @catobates Be honest now. You said watching those women were like Jewelry to you. AKA LUSTING after them! Look at the facts. You said your Morals made you feel bad. Who do you think constantly tells people masturbation is a SIN? It's certainly does not come from you! Did you know that before children are born, they naturally discover and play with their parts between their legs? Do yourself a huge favor and retake sex ed in College, and stop believing the jargon religious nuts speak.

  • @3Deditor When I was a kid, I never naturally discovered and played with the parts between my legs, even when I was alone. The great majority of the time, I didn't lust after them, I simply enjoyed looking at their bodies. I also agree, the Word of Wisdom has no substance on the masturbation argument, but it does when it comes to the health argument that you are desperately clinging to. Masturbation may be physically healthy, but it isn't healthy for the mind. It lessens your will power.

  • @catobates Masturbation does not lessen your will power. That's all in your own mind. Everyone is different and deals with their humanity differently and however they choose. Maybe you lose your will power because you had an addiction to masturbating in the past and probably still do. That does not apply to everyone. You just need a girlfriend or wife who isn't so hung up on this as much as you are, to help ease your concerns and stress about it. Sex helps lessen the urge to squirt. haha!

  • @3Deditor I don't have a problem with it anymore, thank goodness. I'd prefer a wife, but, you don't have to orgasm, your body will naturally do that in sleep. This is just fine with me. :) If you can't control your urge to masturbate, then you definitely don't have a lot of willpower. Many guys who masturbate are controlled by their urge to masturbate. You're right, though, it doesn't lessen your willpower, you just don't have a lot if you do masturbate, in my opinion.

  • @catobates just more b.s. the mormon church is cramming down your throat. It's not just your opinion alone. I've been in the lds church over 20 years. long enough to know exactly where you and others get this mentality level and thinking from. Stop kidding yourself and just know you're being influenced by power and control hungry men. Will power can be defined in many avenues and depends solely on the individual on how much will power they want to have for what ever, regardless what they choose.

  • @3Deditor Ugh. You're so one dimensional. If the leaders of the church are so power and control hungry, why do they dedicate their lives to the church? Why have they spent most of their lives, using tireless hours helping widows, and families? Why do they spend so much of their life traveling to talk to people all around the world? Why do they give talks like these? Why do they build temples? Why do they preach the word of God? Helping people never gave anyone power, except in the sight of God.

  • @catobates I'm sorry you think so. Open your eyes man and you'll see you along with other members of the church are very one sided in your thought process, besides still believing you can become gods of your own worlds and have multiple wives in heaven. Has it occurred to you that the LDS church was run by many past leaders who were freemasons, a group who believe in government power and control? A lot of masonic symbols are all over the temples, in your underwear and in the temple ceremonies.

  • @3Deditor You don't think we can become gods? It's in the bible, revelations if I remember right. Don't call us polygamists because of a practice that stopped 100 years ago. If someone in your family used to be a racist slave owner or a nazi does that make you one too? Also, if joseph smith did whatever he could to get by comfortably why go though so much persecution? Why would he die for something that you say made him live comfortably when he was tarred and feathered and watch his friends die?

  • @catobates Mormonism has been one big money making and manipulation scheme from the very beginning, because Joseph didn't like how things were run in the other churches and he always was looking for an easier way to live. Why else would he be a treasure seeker? Why else would he steal other mens women from them through manipulative cunning words? He was a flim flam man who did anything and everything he could to get by comfortably and it didn't matter who's feet he stepped on along the way.

  • My bishop never told me that I was weak, or had low will power because I screwed up a few times. He was kind, caring, loving, and forgiving, just as my Heavenly Father is, when I come to him in fervent repentance. He explained things as a man who cares about his children, or a shepherd who leads his flock, which he loves. You are a pathetic man, in my opinion. Telling me that my opinions are those of the church. You are a sad, and pathetic man. I would prefer you didn't respond back.

  • @catobates You're showing your real arrogance and pride by calling others pathetic while thinking you're better than them. You're forgetting that I was once on the same boat as you, because you have chosen to only think about yourself and talk about your own problems. You never stopped to think that I may actually know something about the church and the kind of crap they pull on people. My bishop banned me from taking sacrament & callings for 5 months cuz I masturbated. Is that JUSTICE!!??

  • @3Deditor I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the church, but you are twisting some things to make them look negative. Plz don't think im shooting you down. your bishop banning you from the sacrament and callings isn't justice, it is to help motivate you to stop. I've thought about not taking the sacrament because of my masterbation issues, not as justice but to help motivate me to stop. Also joseph smith never practiced Free Masonry, he might have been part of it but never practiced it

  • @catobates Are you really going to sit there and call me pathetic when you just admitted to everyone reading this page that you had major addiction to pornography and masturbating? I know I just struck a nerve in you and that's why you can only resort to name calling now and why you'd rather not discuss it anymore. You know I'm right, otherwise you'd have something else to back yourself up besides name calling and thinking you're superior to others. Join the ranks at being an lds hypocrite!

  • @catobates 3Deditor's been blocked, so he won't be showing up with any more posts.

  • @LDSGeneralConference Thanks! LDSGeneralConference! :D

  • @catobates The word of wisdom has no substance to this argument. No where in the Mormon word of wisdom does it mention too much or any masturbation is bad for you. If it did, it would be erroneous, plain wrong and pushing the boundaries that church leaders and members should respect anyway. They have NO business telling others what they can and can not do with their bodies. They're all hypocrites anyway. They need to focus more on Love and Acceptance than bondage, punishment and mind control.
