If going to a movie cost $10, I'd go every weekend. But it doesn't. In NZ it costs $18, each. So you pay for your girl and it's $36 just for the movie. Then you count drinks ($3 each), snacks($3 each), and coffee before or after($5 each), and you've spent almost $60.
