WM 6.5 is a complete overhaul. The one thing that always averted me from WM 6 is the ugliness of it. Now, it changes.

6.5 was not a complete overhaul. It was a middle ground version to bridge 6.1 and 7 because 7 had been delayed. They gave it a touch friendly interface and a few other things,,, but it is not a complete overhaul.

@mrsqueezee I have both... iOS 4.2 on my iPod touch... and windows mobile 6.5 on PDAs from my job...

Windows suchs... I have to restore all the PDA to the factory configuration... It takes SEVERAL MINUTES FOR DOING IT!!.. the most ridiculous thing is that WIndows 7 doen't have windows mobile 6.5 driver... so it have to search for drivers everytime I plug in the PDA... and some of the features I hate on this is the "alignment screen"... you have to touch the aim some 10000 times for botting up!

Seems like you still have old-school design and stylus navigation various places (like the alarm), which is a bummer. Get rid of that ugly design and scale up content to be finger-friendly.

I still perfer Windows mobile but this stuff annoys me.

Microsoft is also making a Marketplace to compete with the App Store, if it's done right, then there may actually be REAL competition for the iPhone (most of the current "iPhone competitors" lack something like the App Store meaning they miss out on thousands of useful functions)

thats not just it. Microsoft has exclusive rights to its own XNA games (xbox arcade games, and sometimes simplified xbox games), so instead of "iDrink" O.o and "iLighter" O.o ... you get games like hexic hd and (rumoured) a simplified version of Portal.

the htc touch hd looks great! and the WM6.5 as well.. i have a few options/devices that are on my list and it will be a tough decision.. i really like the iphone style but for that kind of money and only having a 2MP cam without vid recording and no landscape text input (at least for sms) , no sd card slot i'm looking for other devices that have the kind of iphone style with the cool scrolling and all.. anyways, good video!

You can actually tap one tab and slide to other, something you couldn't do in 6.1.
