The melody doesn't work for Bruce's voice when transposed up a full fifth, Just because the key is now "Em" doesn't mean Bruce can automatically sing it - even if 90% of Maiden songs are in Em. ** t's the actual notes of the vocal line that matter, not just the key. **

Trust me. If Maiden played Stairway in Am, as Zeppelin did, Bruce's range would pretty well match Plant's. This is pure math here, we're not arguing over personal opinion.

well, i would be more than happy to hear a decent version of this great classic song, because i am sure that maiden could perform a magnificent cover of this song. It would be great. I am quite sure that this really is maiden, but it is obvious that they were drunk when they performed this, because they could have played it so much better.
