Two, even if Budden was as gifted as Melle, Melle is the reason Budden even puts any emphasis on lyrics. Melle was one of the pioneers of lyricism. It's like your dad. By the time your 27, you may be larger, stronger or you may have a higher paying job than your dad. None of those make you his equal.

Two, even if Budden was as gifted as Melle, Melle is the reason Budden even puts any emphasis on lyrics. Melle was one of the pioneers of lyricism. It's like your dad. By the time your 27, you may be larger, stronger or you may have a higher paying job than your dad. None of those make you his equal.

KRS_One said himself he has a battle rap for everyone on billboards to 10. Hip Hop has always been about battling. Now, dudes thing they are too hard to battle or tough. The Joe budden situation was taking to far out of context. If you follow the events in sequence, you know what Rae did was out of bounds.

First off, Joe made a an opinion off music like every other fan out there. He said he would battle Meth in the same fashion that KRS-ONE did against MC Shan and Meth did not step to him. Then, he apologize and made peace with Meth. He approached Meth the way it was always done in HIP-HOP, to battle on wax but everyone wants to put hands on him because he said he can rap better than Meth. All this over a comment about a rapper who is not in the top 5.
