  • very very very good This Motivates me

  • WOW! It just blows my mind how that Peach Tree, that huge Peach Tree, came from those little seedlings. This Gentlemen has a Green, Green , Green thumb and did a great job. That's a beautiful little girl by a beautiful Peach tree. Thank you Jesus for all that you have given us here on earth.

  • Thanks for following the video. Since this video was taken in mid-April, the tree has grown quite a bit. I expect it may produce some fruit next year. I will be watching for buds forming in the fall.

Olivia is my younger sisters daughter (I am her Uncle). I work in computers and am lucky enough to have a job that is based on project deadlines and not 9 to 5. As I have had scheduling flexibility, I have been looking after her a few days a week since she was three months old.

  • Thanks for the update on the peach trees. I was just about to plant a pit myself. Olivia is a darling little girl and it seems you love her very deeply. She has a fine future with a Dad like you.

  • Glad to hear shes ok... as for my seed... I got it right now in regular potting soil in my bathroom window where it gets good light etc. As for fertilizing, I havent done any of that yet... I don't even think one can fertilize until some growth is detected. As for wintering it, I should be able to keep it indoors for that provided I keep light or something on it.

    Not sure.

  • @YourFreeToys I did not add fertilizer to the seedlings. I started them in Scotts Potting Mix with timed release Miracle Gro. That works well and they really take off. The tree Olivia is standing next to was raised in that mix. After the seedlings sprouted, I transferred them individually to pots containing the mix and they really took to it.

As for keeping the seedling indoors, I am not sure that would work too well. Peach trees are deciduous and expect a season of cold.

  • @Zzznorch I get all that but if the seedlings to small a winter could kill it, I'm in Pa near the snow belt. Not right next door close but close to say we get bad winters simetimes.

  • I'm amazed at how well the tree did... looks like it's coming along quite nicely. I planted a pit myself about 3 -5 days ago. I know, little late to be planting but hey, it should still sprout provided all goes well. Right now it's in a small pot sitting in the inside of two window panes, both cracked open to let air pass through. Also, forgive the odd question, I just want to make sure I'm not seeing things but is Olivia bald in this video ?

In any case, I hope all is well with her !

  • @YourFreeToys if you plant now you will probably get a little seedling by mid-summer. A little fertilized potting soil to keep it going and it can probably weather the winter.

As for Olivia, yes she is almost completely bald. She has Alopecia but is otherwise very healthy. You can find information about Alopecia by searching "Miss Delaware 2010" on YouTube. She has it as well.
