@2000Ajjet like I'm not having a dig at you personally I'm just showing you another side to the story etc. haha probably not the right place to debate, I can see where your coming from and you do make a good point but theres other things to consider too.
Wellington will just have to wait for the 787-9s before AirNZ operates anything above a 767-300 out of WLG. Personally I can't wait for the government to sell off this pro Auckland, up it's self stuck up airline...waste of tax payers dollars!
@2000Ajjet yet you'd probably be one of many that would complain that we didn't have our own airline... air nz is not a waste of tax payers money, we own it, its ours and rightfully so. so you'd rather it be owned by foreigners that want to take all the revenue offshore??? i suppose you also want our farms to be owned by the chinks??? dude wake up. we've got a good thing going for us man!
@nzecureuil2 ...don't agree, government is for ballancing the books, health, education, defence, and only the very essential social services...AND always allow the spirit of Free Enterprise...not dabble in competition styming businesses. Air NZ must have it's government share holding downsold to 'mum and dad' sharholders before even calling it 'our' airline. Less Government Is BEST Goverment!
@2000Ajjet hahaha i have to laugh at this whole "mum and dad" shareholders thing... they're just old plonkers that are too dumb to invest their money in banks, instead they go taking the risk - chucking their money into the likes of finance companies who in turn go under... then the govt uses everyone elses hard earned tax money to bail the pricks out. yet they refused to help pike river families & workers etc. mate if you want more people power then you need to get rid of deadbeat don-Key.

As it turns out, following the Christchurch earthquake, AirNZ was operating a 777-200 out of Wellington on revenue flights only two weeks later!

Based on the landing and takeoff distances we saw, someone totally needs to drop this baby in to Pauanui, Raglan, or Ryan's Creek.
