  • 1 dislike means one is a Babes of Mentorship fan.

  • somebody came back 195 times from different sources to make up for their accidental dislike

  • The Commedatore from Don Giovanni rules!!

  • How can you thumbs down Mozart? It's like thumbing down humanity itself.

  • @MateiAlexandruBogdan Do you understand now? :P

  • "And so rose the dreadful ghost, in his next and blackest opera..."

  • the negative vote is from a stupid girl fan of Justin Fucking Bieber!!!

  • Is there anything in all opera that compares to this? The ever-increasing sense of suffocation and doom, the deadly seriousness that the jokes are over now and the time to pay has come, the realization there is no way out...and accomplished through music that isn't blaring and mostly moves at a moderate pace instead of what you would usually expect.

    Only Mozart....

  • The infinite ratio of likes to dislikes still seems too low.

  • Where can I find this image of Mozart, from the Movie Amadeus? I think it is an absolutely incredible picture!

  • @0x5m2s Hi...I found it on amazon and google images

  • Mozart, simplesmente, gênio e orgulho da humanidade.

  • Who is singing the Comandatore?

  • @sartrific John Tromlinson

  • the orchestral part from 4:11 to 4:20 is so recognizably Mozart

  • Hypnotic doom at 1:42. Sheer impending terror.

  • The final scream is pure genius. It really sounds like a soul sinking into Hell's Maw.

    Simply chilling.

  • I am a fan of heavy metal...but this opera is absolutely gorgeous.

  • @bcook1670 So intense the stage falls apart . . . this was Metal two hundred years before Metal was Metal.

  • @bcook1670 Same here!

  • "Don Juan l'endurcissement au péché traîne une mort funeste... et les grâces du Ciel que l'on renvoie ouvrent un chemin à sa foudre...." Molière -Don Juan-

  • Granted, I'm not a fan of opera. But if this isn't the greatest song from any opera, then someone enlighten me. What brilliance!

  • Amazing music !!!! Amazing movie !!!! I just love it !!! this is music in deed !!!!

  • Through my influence, I saw to it that Don Giovanni was played only five times in Vienna. But in secret, I went to every one of those five. Worshipping sounds I alone seemed to hear. As I stood there understanding how that bitter old man was still possessing his poor son even from beyond the grave

  • Cheer power, mozarts Don Giovanni is the best opera i have ever heared

  • The counterpoint is to die for. This man belongs to God, surely.

  • Don Giovanni is the greatest opera ever.

  • i began to see a way...a terrible way...i could finally win out... over God

  • Do you know if this version of this song is on ITunes?

  • Undoubtedly the best score in all of Don Giovanni (imo), and possibly the best piece used in the film Amadeus....though it's impossible to say for sure, since every score is simply mind-blowing. I could listen to this all day and never get tired of it.

  • As said this is a brilliant movie, and song, if you want the big picture of what Mozart created see the opera, I promise it's briliant.

  • la mejor version de todas

  • i saw don giovanni last week at glyndebourne... OMG, it was fab

  • I wish I knew Mozart's secret..He had something and that not even Beethoven couldn't figure out.

  • What can we say that hasnt already been said?

  • Unfortunately, this is not taken from a full length recording of Don Giovanni. As with the Figaro as heard in Amadeus, this was sung/performed only for the soundtrack to the movie. It frustrates me terribly that this is not a full length album of Don Giovanni, Marriner has recorded both Don Giovanni & Figaro but it's with different singers and it's not the version heard in Amadeus. They are very good recordings because Marriner was a gifted Mozartian conductor.

  • i've seen don giovanna 6 times now...... love the storyline.and of course the music cannot be bettered..there isa moral in his dark tale for all of humanity

  • Will you marry me!? yes or no?

  • Well this is just perfect to listen to at 1:33 am...

  • Like always Sir marriner is unbelievable ....

    Realy great version ....

    thanks for posting

  • 11329 views....how sad that genius is not commensurate with popularity

sheer popularity measures popularity ...not value, quality , or genius...lol...i talk shit when inspired

  • tom hulce played mozart, perfectly. that laugh is amazing!!!

  • @ForeverSilentDreamer I agree minus the American accent.Cheers

  • 5:30 is just epic

  • It's incredible how the first five seconds establish the tone of the entire piece so perfectly. You hear those first few notes and you think "I'm about to hear some shit-your-pants, kick-ass, horror music.

One of his best pieces ever! LOVE IT!

  • Bellissimo!!!

  • I have to perform a part of Don Giovanni along with others from my school and other schools too on Monday. The bit when Don Giovanni gets dragged to hell, I'm singing the second to top soprano, with 4 others, but in english. It still sounds good!

And soon we get to see a reherse of it soon! I love Mozart.

  • @ForeverSilentDreamer Really?! Thats awesome I wish my school did things like that haha. Thats sooooo cool ;D

  • @oliviarocker123 i did it yesterday, it went so well! i had a small part where i had to sing with 4 others out of the whole choir, and everyone singing together, it sounded fab. we had to dance too, i had to pretend to kiss a guy who was really tall! there was 4 guys from my school who did the performance too, and they all pretended to be Don Giovanni. 1 wore a suit, another wore a hoddie, someone else wore a white shirt, and the guy i worked with had a checkered shirt and jeans <3

  • Don Giovaaaaaaaaaaaaani!

  • so mysterious and tragic and so beautifull . absolutely beauty !! i love mozart 's music

  • the music sounds so dark and deep.

  • the greatest opera of all!

  • JUST THANK YOU SIR

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!

  • I get shivers when I hear this.

  • One of greatest operas ever written in history, period.

  • I love this scene in the film! The music is enchanting! And it's so gripping when Salieri begins to realize the way he's going to murder Mozart!

  • one of the most gorgeous opera scenes ever written!!! immortal!

  • 1:42 is almost supernatural. The perfect Commendatore.

  • @Jaydoggy531 abolutely agree with you, this is the only version which gave me that impression of supernatural.

  • Yes, it is beyond this world - how gripping and menacing it is.

  • DonGiovanni is IMMORTAL!! : )

  • Immortal!

  • love this version, mozart is immortal!!

  • @WolfgangOrpheus best way to describe him: immortal-a god

  • The best scene in the film.

  • @miloesalazar yep, when Constanze goes "your father is dead" and then this music starts... that always gives me goosebumps

  • DON GIOVANNI !!!!
