@silentdraconian Simple. Tidus and Jecht are in because Tidus is the main character in FFX and Jecht is the main antagonist. They have much more of a right to be in Dissidia than an optional party member from FFVII, even if it's the most popular FF, especially considering this game only had main heroes and main antagonists.

As for 012, Tifa is a much more important character in FFVII than Vincent was (again, you didn't even have to get Vincent). Also, she has tits.

Zack was an ascended side character. Tifa and Kain, for example, were basically the second protagonist of the game. You know watching this again... the heroes are kind of getting their asses kicked.  I mean, they all walk it off, but basically all of them get hurt at least once, and the only time a villain gets hit is when Ultimecia's bolts hit Garland.

What I like most is how each of the heroes are fighting a different villain (Squall v Sephiroth) rather than to fight their respective villain (Squall v Ultimecia). It made this intro twice as epic :)

Tired of people thinking Squall is so weak -_-. As you can see in the video, Squall fights Sephiroth pretty even. Squall is easily one of the strongest heroes in a final fantasy game and so is Cloud. Get over it.

The only reason he loses is because he toys around so much. If Sephiroth was dead serious than he could take them both down. In fact most of the Final Fantasy Villains are much stronger than the heroes.

Probably the biggest reason why Dissidea is so epic is you get to see the main characters from the old games shown the way they would look if the games were made now. Even Tidus and Ject got more epic-looking!

Kain got in because Nomura wanted him in and Tifa got in due to the developers liking her. Everyone one else got in by votes by the Japanese fanbase. The Japanese fanbase is more important to Square Enix than the North American and European fanbase. Vaan is unpopular in America but is popular in Japan for example.

@roe4848 or not. If you think better, cloud and zack's fight style would be really alike, it would be stupid for the game developers to put 2 characters with an almost similar fighting style, unless they did a OOC fighting style for cloud or zack, wich would suck either way.

So, for ffvii we would have left tifa, yuffie, barrett, cid and vincent (ignore red and cait). We already have laguna, so no vincent, yuffie is annoying and cid is a dragoon just like kain (both highwinds). That leaves tifa

Cecil did not look like a helpless weakling there. Terra was almost expecting to be blown to bits here, only realizing that she's been saved after she removes her hands from her face. That's not the Terra Branford who learned from Gen. Leo's death and protected the Mobliz kids. I still say she was misrepresented.

I mean, it's all about the determination to fight and not give in that made Bartz's struggle heroic, even if he was in a compromising position. Even if Terra was a dude, the attitude of "Oh no, I'm a goner" does not represent all (To be continued)
