Basically they cut anything with a song in it. While broadcasting them was within the programme's budget, royalties paid would have been pretty small... releasing all that on DVD would have been an absolute nightmare.

Blur's more experimental stage is simply part of their evolution as a band. The poignant simplicity of their second album 'Modern life is rubbish', for example, is superb and holds mant examples of how blur use such simple chord structures/melodies to make such masterpeices.

So please, do your research before you pass judgement.
