  • Oh no

  • How about a 4/5 port 2t22 siren or a 3t22siren or a 4/5 port 550-at siren.

  • @misterrailroadman There is no such thing as ether of those.

  • @Siren1000T1 Mabee not but I'm just say Imagen one.

  • @misterrailroadman Basically what I'm saying is that if they made both of is that the different tone. would be a good attention getter. and if the made a 2t22 or a 3t33 or a 550-at at chopper level 7, real high pitch, that would be another good attention getter. They may not mabe either of theses but it would be cool if they did.

  • @Siren1000T1 Is this siren now a 2001,or is the t-bolt still in place?

  • @amberlynn6914 This T-bolt is still in use and has a new radio so GPW is keeping this T-bolt. GPW did install a 2001 somewhere in the city though for better sound coverage.

  • @Siren1000T1 phew!

  • This is the last T-bolt left in Harper Woods and Groose Pointe Woods MI. The S. park was disconnected, the Veterans Memorial park was removed, and the Service drive was Replaced.

  • 4/5 ports sound smoother while the 5/6 sounds rougher

  • sounds great and in good condition

  • 2:55 is epic

  • Great video, Gotta love those 4/5 port Thunderbolts

  • That Thunderbolt sounds really good! A bit different than ours around Pontiac. Different port maybe?

  • nice 5/6 tbolt ambience at the end. reminds me of my childhood!

  • This siren has the best rotator I have seen. The rotation is so smooth!!!

  • great sounding 4/5 port 1000t dan!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh No at 1 Sec Mark

  • the screen is lose

  • i did take video of this siren doing attack. when i can, ill try to post it.

  • i heard this siren after HW tbolts sounded this saturday so i wonder how much longer it will be up

  • Is the siren still there?

  • I need help!!! I have a Samsung SCL901 camcorder! Is this a good camera to use to record sirens?

  • yeah igues i have a flip camcorder so tht might work too

  • love the sirens in the backround (this one too). would u know if this one will b up in march? and if harperwoods remaining tbolts r still standing?

  • 'Oh, no'.

  • i hate the ones that sound like that

  • this siren will get replaced

  • Oh, lord, are you for real? Do you know what they're replacing it with? My guess is a 2001-130 but I don't know for sure. Could you quite possibly get a video of the replacing process. for this one.

  • I absolutely love the sound of 4/5 port 1000T's! Great quality with the sound and wow it sounds healthy. Hope they don't replace it soon!

  • DizzyBolt

  • The Thundercane I guss.

  • Coacaine

  • Your dual tone 4/5 port 2001 totally immatates that!

  • just as it started the pole lent to the side alittle bit i think if the t-bolt rotated any faster the pole would have probably would have either collasped and fallen killing the t-bolt or the t-bolt would have taken off to the skys. damn its fast.

  • it looks like you were like right under it? were you?

  • Not really but I was about a 100 feet away from the pole and due to the fact thats so high mounted, the angle makes it look like I am close to under it.

  • You can set the speed to 2 RPM, 4 RPM or 8 RPM.

  • KOOL

  • Sounds like an ACA Hurricane. :-)

  • I was about to say the same thing, though it is still unmistakeably a T-Bolt

  • umm... isn't that rotor going awfully fast for a 1000t? usually 1003s don't go quite that fast!

  • "Oh no..."

    Hahahaha, it got you!!!! XD

  • That was one of the golfers. He didn't know the siren was going to go off right away.

  • Is the screen broken/ ripped on the siren? It looks like its flopping around.

  • Yeah the screen is torn and it has a hole on the upper right side. Its pretty bad. The paint is rusting too. Its a really old Thunderbolt.

  • is that pole shaking dan

  • It should be because of the weight of the siren head when it stops right away.

  • When are they take it down?????

    Just asking

  • Not for a long time. Harper Woods and Grosse Pointe Woods cannot afford to update their sirens now. They should be keeping their Thunderbolts for a few from now.

  • I'm not too sure about GPW not having the money, but if you look at everything else in GPW I think they have the attitude of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Besides it's inevitable they are going to 2001's anyways. GP Shores upgraded to one last year at city hall. Anyone know if GP Farms, City or Park have thunderbolts?

  • **few years from now

  • Comment removed

  • well all but this one :P

  • where exactly at lochmoor is this thunderbolt located? It's located on Sunningdale Dr bordering Parcells right?

  • Its about 300 feet away from Sunningdale and its also on the southwest side of the course.

  • Its about 300 feet away from Sunningdale and its also on the southwest side of the course.

  • That sounds awesome!

  • looks like the weather protection screen needs some assistance

  • its so sad that this tbolt didnt start for me v.v

  • im gonna be filming this one next :D

  • OOOO! I'll be waiting for that clip :)

  • Very nice recording. Best one Iv'e seen of a 4/5 thunderbolt 1000T

  • Why thank you so much. I have to agree with you on that.

  • LOL ITS TALKING

  • It's a ThunderBolt. I don't think beehives are much of a problem-just turn it on for five seconds, and they disappear, hive and all!

  • iok ill try to be there i hope i dont have any other plans

  • how meny thonder bolts are left in your county we have non

  • To tell you the truth I am not sure how many we have right now but all of them will be gone in a couple years. Harper Woods and Grosse Pointe Woods are still keeping their Thunderbolts for a few years now. Redford has 3 Thunderbolt 1000s and they are all going to be replaced by next spring time or next summer.

  • almost sounds like an ACA hurricane but Tbolts have more of a roar.

  • hey, it does sound like an ACA Hurricane sorta! i was gonna say, this is the most pleasnt sounding thunderbolt ive heard!

  • and i live within hearing distance from it :D

  • At the very beginning it sounds like someone saying "Oh no"

  • It was one of the golfers.

  • cause the siren was about to blow their ears out lol

  • yeah right...

  • If you watch it from the middle of Parcell's field it will be a lot louder.

  • SWEET ive watched that same siren--was this filmed on oct 4th too? maybe i couldve watched it with you :(

  • Nice chorus of T-bolts and 2001 in the background after this siren sounds. :-)

  • LOL funny the screen is flapping there, boy this thing is really moving whats the RPM? 4 RPMs?

  • I think its about 4 RPM.

  • Wow that is so cool.

  • This was not very loud at all. I did not even need to use my hearing protection. It could be because this siren is monted high up on the pole. Thanks for the comment BTW.

  • That was actually a 2001 siren.

  • Awesome video Dan! This Thunderbolt Sounds Great!

  • nice vid dan. that thunderbolt sounds great. i hope that where ever this thing is, they don't intend on retiring it because theirs no reason to.

  • Great Video Dan! Very clear and the sound is superb. I thought being that close it might distort the sound, but not this time! 5 stars for sure.

  • It could be because the siren is so high up on the pole.

  • awesome job Dan! thanks for posting it. Only 2 days to wait for my Thunderbolt 1000T (maybe system recording).

  • Love this thunderbolt! Here's my cell phone right here. It's got a loose screen there.

  • Yep it sure does.

  • If it wasn't for the fact that I turned off my lawnmower to empty the bag I wouldn't have heard the sirens today. Also keep in mind I'm a subscriber and you don't need to send me all of your videos.

Hopefully I will get a camera by Halloween.

I will get a Flip Cam.

  • Cool.

  • was this today? ours went off at noon i was at work and heard them from inside

  • Yep this was today.

  • great job dan you rule

  • Lol thanks.

  • Sweet! Great video, Dan.

I even heard someone go "Oh, no.." before the Thunderbolt started up. LOL!!

  • me too

  • Way Better than mine, great job Danno!

  • Thanks Eric. Yours was great too.

  • actualy dan this one is set to chopper level 2, chopper level 5 is much higher pitched than this, my favorite is chopper level is 4, because that was the setting of the old thunderbolt 1000t that we used to have here in Red Wing, MN, it was the closesed siren to my house, sadly, it was replaced by a federal signal 2001 srnb in 2002, and because of that, i am pissed off at the city of Red Wing for replacing it

  • No this is not chopper level 2. Its got to be higher then that.

  • That's just a remarkleble tone. Great video. The screen on it may need repair though.

  • Very good sound here, what did you record it with?

  • I used a Panasonic SDR-H18 Camcorder on a Tripod.

  • Great job on recording the GPW Thunderbolt! It's cool how you can actually hear the blower :D

  • Screens coming loose.

  • Very good video. How old is this T-bolt?

  • To tell you the truth I am not even sure. Maybe 70s.

  • Great video Dan! I hope I can get a good video of it when I record it in the spring.

  • Thanks Joe. I wish you luck.

  • Awesome video! That Thunderbolt sounds extremely healthy!

  • Thanks Brandon. I agree too. :)
