I tried to install 10.6 in HP dm1 with new E-450 processor & 6320 graphics. Installation completed without any trouble. But it failed to boot from hard drive later. On reboot the screen with apple logo starts to jitter. It also failed to boot in -v mode. I followed all your 4 videos. Can you tell me what could be the reason for boot failure.
ey man idk if you read these comments, but if you do lemme know what you know about putting mac osx on the new dm1z with the amd e450 processor. newer version of the 350. i havent been able to find any info about it and was curious to your thoughts as to whether similar stuff would work since its basically just a faster 350
please respond back because not all of us has a mac and my pc got the e350 apu so please show me a tutorial on how to do it on windows if u do i will subscribe 2 u so please im asking for ur help because i need for studio work so please
Also i relized alot of people keep asking for whats not working, so heres a list
audio- some lapptops work like the 1215b but the dm1z doesnt
wifi- again some lapptops work like the 1215b dm1z no luck
graphic acceleration- i mangaged as you can see in the video to get it working in native resolution but still no graphics acceleration, also in the last fix changing colour settings and more work propelly.
camera, bluetooth, ethernet and shit more do work tho
Word of warning. I spent a good 10 hours on this project, erased my HDD and tried countless combinations before getting it to boot properly, once. Subsequent boots went to an apple screen with a cross out circle and hung. When I did get it to boot wireless didn't work and I'm sure that was just one of many. Don't expect a true hackintosh if you can get this working. Great effort by emudshit and co. Thanks for taking a big first step.
@t0adman hahaha thnx man and yes might not work for everybody but i have so far helped about 200 people get this to work on there machines, i think i made a error with a file inside another file= being able to install but not boot, i think once installed it can be booted using nawcon boot launcher plus the exampled settings/ arch and all that, sorry i would make a update video or even upload my own version but i just dont have the time, for those that cant get this to work just read around.
@emudshit There's a good chance I didn't do something exactly as you instructed but I found it a bit confusing to have to refer to 4 different videos instead of one comprehensive one. I'm not complaining as I had no chance of getting it to work without your tutorial. By the way, does wireless work? The camera?
@t0adman wirless works on the asus 1215b and some others but not the dm1z, the camera, bluetooth, ethernet, and full resolution and a few more things do work on the dm1z
It goes without saying I'm new to this. I'm at the installation point and I Disk Utility doesn't recognize my NTFS file system where I have Win 7 installed. With Win 7 already on my HDD, can I partition a portion and format it to HFS+ so I can install OS X 10.6?
@t0adman shrunk the size of my NTFS partition to allocate 75gb to OS X. Formatted it with exFAT so Mac could see it. In Disk Utility I can see the HDD and partitions now but won't allow me to format just the exFAT partition. Is there a way I can keep my current Win7 install and add Mac OS X? TIA
How does it work on Lenovo x120e: I select 1 flash drive and install there mac os x 10.6.0. On second one i also make 1 partition with GUID table. I copy there Your files (tried with Chameleon files also- same result) and plug both drives to x120e. Enter + enter to change boot menu, then i select my flash drive that i've put your files prevously. Screen goes black for 3-4 sec, then come back to selecting boot device. Nothing is loading.
I just tried this on my Lenovo X120e (AMD-350). When I go to the firmware boot menu and select my boot loader USB, the screen just blanks for 2-3 seconds and then returns to the boot menu. (it does the same thing if I choose the OSX install USB) It's not loading your boot loader at all. I tried the above bootloader and also tried modifying it with the files from a later video.
First of all, thanks for posting your tutorial. If you intend to post more Mac OS X tutorials, I have some suggestions for you: 1) get a fucking tripod 2) pronounce "OS X" correctly (hint: 'X' is a Roman numeral and thus pronounced "ten." Thanks again, keep up the good work.
@catmistake i dnt care if x meant balls about 80% of people say x not ten so im just gonna stick to x, get a tripod dude i have no intention for making these videos with that much dedication to them, just wanted to help some people out there. but anyway yeah thnx
Hi man!! This video is wonderfull! I've tried install mac os in my hp dm1-3265 (that is a similar model that you have). I did the tutorial and almsot everything is ok, the problem is "how did you make in order to snow leopard recognize your 8 Gb in RAM? Beacuse after I 've installed it, I musst boot writing busratio=8 arch=i386 maxmen=4096 cpus=1 graphicsenabler=no. If you can, could you help me, bitte? Viele Danke!!
When I boot from the usb where I copied files from your link, it's not working. It will just boot normally to my current OS. Do you have a step-by-step guide on how to install Mac OS X on HP Pavilion dm1z? Please send me one please. Thanks! Here's my email address: bryjalandra@yahoo.com
Sweet man ! What fusion E350 laptop will make for a complete (all sound and wifi working!) hackintosh ? Till now nothing beats my msi-wind u100... Will it run Lion ??
Okay, then i used virtualbox to create both USB stick with everything on it ... BUT : Now when i press F9 during the booting and select the usb stick the computer keep on booting on windows withouth telling me anything : Kinda strange isn't it ?
@joffreymazmyiD Ok Ok i here ya problems, ive almost finished uploading a quick fix video for people with problems like your, shauld be done in 10mins plus it will have my extra folder and new bootloader so %100 nothing can go wrong. please just watch it and subscribe, Cheers
So you successfull install OSX on you DM1z in a durable way ? everything is working even wifi ? What about trackpad : Sorry i'm bad at english so i didn't understand everything you said in your tutorial :S
@emudshit Thank you, but if i do get an install dvd of Mac Os X 10.6.8 in way .. or in an other :D I still need a Mac running OSX ? Or it is just for the copy of Osx ? Then, I have an usb stick of 2Gb and One of 8Gb : Enough no ? Last thing : Graphic acceleration is running ? And Mac Osx is running well on the DM1z ? Thank you once again :)
@joffreymazmyiD if you have the disk thats perfect, then u dont need the usb bigger then 8gb, but i think u still need a mac to copy over the bootloader files, or maybe they even work with a windows partition, but the mac os x install dvd cant be mac os x 10.6.8 that wont work first nstall mac os x 10.6.0 then i will release a video showing how to update to mac os x 10.6.8 understand?
While installing it says couldn't install necessary files
