  • stuck between this or the raptor 700 for maintaince reasons. everytime i look at the ktm it never fails to amaze me

  • how many hours can you expect to get out of the 525 engine before you need to rebuild it, i know the vavles every 20 hours

    Nope. Where did you hear the valves every 20 hours? lol

    At 90h you have to: change conrod bearing, change crankshaft main bearing, change balancer bearing.

  • KTM is the only brand to offer roller bearing top ends. If it ever does fail, you just replace inexpensive bearings. On a Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha etc, they just run the cams in the aluminum housings that are part of the head. This means if the cam fails, you have to replace the whole head. If you've read any magazines about the 450s and 250 four strokes you'd know the heads fail all the time on the Japanese bikes. My next bike WILL be a KTM.

  • That depends on the pilot. If the pilot was the same and ride both with same aggressiveness, ktm would be faster.

  • i need to know, can you give me an in depth insight of the pros and cons of the KTM, im saving up my money right now, i had a honda DS450 but it ended up dying on me, bent frame, shit aluminum and a bunch of engine problems
