THE REASONS GNR SPLIT.Ive read Slash & Axl,s books,seen em live [milton keynes 91] & always bin a huge fan.Their split is no ones fault When they hit big in 87-88 the bands drug & drink problems escalated,but Axl,s diminished 2 the point of him being practically straght.Axl could see what was happening 2 the band & tried to encourage the others to kick the drink & drugs,which they didnt so Axl felt he had 2 take charge 2 save gnr, so he became very controlling and it went bad. It's ironic how times change the beliefs and morals people hold. Axl stated in part 3/3 @ 3:00 that his church was filled with hypocritical and negative members and thats not what he wanted. He also stated in part 2/3 @ 6:31 that GNR could NOT replaced. Sounds like hes his worst hypocritical enemy as he replaced what GNR was and gave us the crap we have today. The only thing that changed with the band was the lineup and tho the departure of members were partly his fault, it wasnt entirely HIS fault, since Steven(who was fired) couldnt leave his drugs, Slash and him had creative differences, Izzy couldnt be relied on, and Duff had creative differences with him as well.
