just so you know..he couldnt have held 14'9" on a 15' ucs..the max you can hold on this pole is 14'7 3/4" ...this is due to the weight limit sticker being so low on the pole

i understand what ur saying coffee... his grip shouldnt be at 14'9" to clear 14 feet. this, is compromise in technique. and this will only work until u get about 15 feet, at which point, u cant possibly generate enough momentum to bring u up over that height especially with the amount of force it would take to get vert... the grip should have been lowered, and chances are, he wouldnt have to deliver so much force on the bottom hand to become verted. there is more work to be done in his technique

All i'm saying is don't rip on him for having a high grip on a small height, he might be able to to jump 16' with that pole, he might have rocketed the bar with this jump.

the higher your grip is *without compromising technique*, the higher you vault. he might have cleared this jump by a foot had the pole not snapped. you don't lower your grip to match the height you're jumping, that's stupid.

his run was a bit low, but really, if he had rolled it over faser then the pole probably would have just broken even easier. And i seriously doubt that that pole break was due to him putting too much pressure on it.... they are almost always caused by someone stepping on the pole with their spikes. They leave a tiny hole, and then when the next person tries using it it EXPLODES IN A MAGNIFICIENT SHOWER OF AWESOMENESS!!!!!
