I am not famaliar with PODs and have never used any? When u record directly to PC, can you also get the sound out of the PC speakers in real time? Basically the software(and pc) functions as an sound modeler and amplifier right?
thomashm9 -> If you want the sound from the PC speakers you have two alternatives. 1. Unplug the speakers from the PC and plug them directly to the Toneport (will be realtime but will only play the sound of the guitar). 2. Plug a jack from the Toneport into your PC's soundcard/line in. This solution will however give you a slight delay!
you will need a host program like cubase or ableton. You will need to look at the compatibility list on the ezdrummer website. It doesnt work with all programs either. But It is one the best best drum programs out there! it is amazing. Great cover dude! Iced Earth 4 life!
Very nice! Perfect tone and playing. I have a PODxt Live and use almost the same configuration you do to get Iced Earth's tone... I just change some values. By the way, did you use USB to record?
very very good i like it very much ... also because of the quality but there is one thing i wont to say . in the solo the rhytm guit is playing something else ... but all in all its really good 5/5
great job man. song sounds great without lyrics. especially that first chorus. its so raw. power metal at its finest. this reminds me why i like john schaffer so much. too bad the new iced earth sound seems to drown out all the great guitar parts with those layered "epic" vocals.
I've used them all, and I can tell you that that play VERY well with electronic drums. Check out my videos, but don't laugh at my sloppy playing... I recorded everything in 2 VERY late nights!
I got the 18V Heavy Metal Livewire put in the bridge of mine, along with the Invader in the neck. Definately increased the output power of the guitar.
sweet man. ive never seen/heard the dave mustaine set before, but ive been told that they scream and are way better than emg's so i figured wth lol. ntm dave's one of my idols and he has sig. pickups lol
I use the Line6 Spinal Puppet, with the Vetta Comp stomp on full, the 4x12 1978 Britt Celest t-75s, full threshold on the compressor with 60 on the gain, and my equalizer has pumped out mids (on the high end) with increased low frequencies.
awsome stuff dude thanks for posting this video it really kicks ass :-) I have the tabs for the song but the video will help me out alot thanks :-) let em know if you post any new song from Icead Earth thanks
Just the toneport. Any recording program will do just fine, we just so happen to use Cubase. It just works as a pluggin, like any old mixer would, thats all. With cubase you can add effects and stuff, but nothing like the toneport. So basically just a toneport, and any half decent recording program you can get your hands on.
nice, I saw some videos of schehf ( the guy who do awesome in flames covers lol) and the quality he gets is awesome ... and now your quality is very good too...
I already have one amp to play loud, but to record I dont have nothing ...so im thinking to buy one.
So to get that quality what I just need?
toneport UX2 and cubase or other recording program...?
Definately, it makes recording, mixing and everything much easier. Plus its just neat to use, and there are addons you can buy for it to model any tone. It's basically a mixer in this small little package, very convienient. Couldn't be happier with it.
Fucking amazing. Set himself would be proud.

I have been looking for cubase sx 3.11 everywhere and I can't find it anywhere!
where did you get it at?

thanks alot
