Okay, look here, Hollywood. We've got all four books out. Harry Potter is finished. You need the next major fantasy. The Hobbit will be coming out too, but that's only two parts, and if it's accurate, you could maybe make money from like 7-8 movies, if they're 1-2 parts each. Does that sound so bad? You'll get your money's worth, Inheritance will capture the audience like nothing. Like how the books did. Think about it. Everything's set up perfectly.

As much as I prefer the book over the film, I was kinda disappointed that the air battle wasn't in there. In my opinion, I thought the battle between Eragon and Durza in the movie was way more exciting than it was in the book. It was just swordfighting, while in the film you have this awesome, eery, smoke monster and Saphira and Eragon work as a team to bring him down, while in the book Eragon was just by himself, and Saphira doesn't appear until the very end of the battle.
@uryuu300 Yes, you have a point, but then Isidar Mithrim would have never been broken, storylines and character opinions would have changed, and seeing how they rushed the story along in the film, what with Arya being much closer and interactive with Eragon than in the book, it might not of made sense to see her on top of Saphira, flying through Tronjheim. :)

Mistakes in this movie is Brom is older. (But I love Brom's actor, I think it suits him) Arya...Is an elf thats tall and has black hair. Eragon has brown hair, not that it matters much. Saphira has a deep voice, not a pretty little one. Where are the dwarves? Farthen Dur is underground! Brom dies from an ambush. Why do the urgals look like orks? They are supposed to have horns. Looks like eragon trained in half an hour. Other than it doesn't follow the book, its good.

i have read all the books multiple times and had them since they came out, and when this film came out i was so disappointed, it's nowhere near as brilliant as the books
I´ve read the first two parts. Especially the beginning is full of mistakes made by young author, who has no experience. He shouldn´t try to write something so difficult like a fantasy saga. Should start with small things like everyone does. It´s in vain to talk about this, everything´s been said before.
If you read a lot of good books or have tried to write something on your own, you know what I´m talking about.
I love the movie still, even if it is pretty much nothing like the books. I just love the battle scene and when Saphira goes to charge at Durza, "This time, rip it out of his chest!"

Sadly I think Paolini got caught in a very childish feel for the first two books, and it somewhat detracts from the story overall. But maybe that's just me.

They are making it as we speak and its comming out late 2010 i belive... and yh i agree you see he's scarr in the end when he talks to saphira but he(as you said) doesnt even act like he's in pain.
Actually, his back does get scarred by durza in the film, but its so brief and its not even mentioned again, he doesn't even act like hes in pain, so most people missed it. Amazing soundtrack, i just wish the movie had followed the book better, now its almost impossible for them to make a sequel film
They messed up the movie SOOO badly, but the books are amazing! I think the music is the only redeeming quality of the movie, although they picked good actors for Brom, Murtagh, and Galbatorix. Durza was pretty good too. Eragon (the character) sucked, and they made Saphira all wrong. Dragons don't have feathers, for goodness's sake! Arya didn't even look like Arya, and she didn't have pointed ears. Okay, I'm done ranting now. LOVE THE MUSIC!! :)

-arya does NOT start 2 fall 4 eragon in book 1 or even 2

I don't think they can make the second one, due to missed characters and changes in the plot, such as Elva, the Twins, Orik, Solumbum, and others. They can't have the betral of the Twins for instance. Also, Oromis didn't talk to Eragon at the end, and his back didn't get scared. In other words, they mucked up too baddly!!!

The movie wasn't bad when not compared to the book, but it was still a great dissapointment for book fans such as myself. However, it came with mind-blowing Saphira graphics and a breathtaking, killer soundtrack.
I do like the movie. But I felt like movie left a lot of stuff out and went through too quickly. I like the book because it's much longer and gives more detail.

THey're not making another movie. Some people are very VERY good at making fake trailers. But if they really were going to make another movie...It would be more entertaining to try to figure out how it would be related to the book and how they could add a second to the movie than the actual movie. They are making it as we speak and its comming out late 2010 i belive... and yh i agree you see he's scarr in the end when he talks to saphira but he(as you said) doesnt even act like he's in pain.

Actually, his back does get scarred by durza in the film, but its so brief and its not even mentioned again, he doesn't even act like hes in pain, so most people missed it. Amazing soundtrack, i just wish the movie had followed the book better, now its almost impossible for them to make a sequel film

They messed up the movie SOOO badly, but the books are amazing! I think the music is the only redeeming quality of the movie, although they picked good actors for Brom, Murtagh, and Galbatorix. Durza was pretty good too. Eragon (the character) sucked, and they made Saphira all wrong. Dragons don't have feathers, for goodness's sake! Arya didn't even look like Arya, and she didn't have pointed ears. Okay, I'm done ranting now. LOVE THE MUSIC!! :)

@followerDISNEY I have other complaints but I didn't want to get yelled at for "spoiling" the books.
-the ra'zac don't die in book 1
-they cut out Katrina & changed Roran's reason 4 leaving
-Saphira's voice was WAY not dragony
-Murtagh's scar was not in the right spot nor was it realistic. a scar across belly like that would have done much more damage 2 the person. + it wouldn't have the extra lines away from the main 1
-arya does NOT start 2 fall 4 eragon in book 1 or even 2

I can keep going, if you don't mind.
-Arya's hair isn't brown, it's black.
-Arya doesn't return to the Elves at the end of the first book
-The dwarves play a major part in the entire end battle scene, but don't show up in the movie at all.
All I can think of off of the top of my head, it's been many a month since I last saw the movie.
This music isn't half terrible, though.

I don't think they can make the second one, due to missed characters and changes in the plot, such as Elva, the Twins, Orik, Solumbum, and others. They can't have the betral of the Twins for instance. Also, Oromis didn't talk to Eragon at the end, and his back didn't get scared. In other words, they mucked up too baddly!!!

This movie is awesome, only the makers could have done so much better. The people who made this movie were lazy and apparantly didn't follow the book very well. The only thing good they made about this movie is the music and saphira.Was it low-budget or were they just lazy? I don't know...

shit the guy who wrote eragon was young he should have waited more for the movie to come out. the costumes had an unreal feel, all the shinny new leather... eragon is a farm boy damn. Anyways i read the books with these amazing tunes it was good.

i agree, her character was just so just and wise, but in the book she's still young and learning. They also ruined it in the film when brom tells them how zar'roc killed his saphira, and them she says 'that sword is a dragon slayer', i mean, state the obvious!!!

@BoundlessFreedom yes i agree, mostly i believe the movie by itself ,if you ignore the diffrences from the book, to be very good but a problem i have is when movies differ from books i get annoyed.

The movie wasn't bad when not compared to the book, but it was still a great dissapointment for book fans such as myself. However, it came with mind-blowing Saphira graphics and a breathtaking, killer soundtrack.

yeah the film was a very big disappointment ... they forgot many things but i think they could add what they have forgotten in a second film ... i hope ... because if it's not the case it's not an adaptation of the novel but an independant film. For me, as a fan of Christopher's paolini novels, i hope find these elements ...

Amazing music, but I wish they hadn't TOTALLY destroyed the movie by changing it completely. It's so different from the book, it should not even be named Eragon.
But I am EXTREMLY Impressed with the music.

THey're not making another movie. Some people are very VERY good at making fake trailers. But if they really were going to make another movie...It would be more entertaining to try to figure out how it would be related to the book and how they could add a second to the movie than the actual movie. Does that make sense?

Yeah, I'm not sure they're going to manage to make the second film because of that. The ra'zac die, Eragon's back doesn't get scared and orik isn't metioned. It's just to different. The mussic's great though!! Thanks!!!!
