@photoapril ... Nobody is saying we do not need healthcare reform ... Just not a complete federal takeover forcing the American citizens to purchase a product or be fined and or imprisonment. There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. This is the wrong way !
My 62 yr. Mother- In-Law was against this "reform" a couple of weeks ago. She had to have knee surgery and was told by her employer her vacation time was over and she was going to loose her insurance if she didn't return to work in a week. She looked into private insurance and found out it would cost her $1,200 a month! So last week she returned to work with a knee brace and pain. Tell her we don't need a reform! A month ago she would of agreed with you...but not know!
Your mother in law is being told a lie!!! All she needs from the doctor is a note. Its called medical leave and it wont effect your insurance eligibility.. end... I hate lies like this!!!
@photoapril...Her employer could not have canceled her insurance without firing her. I would guess the threat was, "Get back to work or you'll get fired and have no insurance." Your mother-in-law should have done some research on what was actually possible before she listened to an employer and returned early.
So, of course reform is needed...try EMPLOYMENT REFORM, that is what the COUNTRY NEEDS!!! MORE JOBS IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR, NOT GOV'T EMPLOYEES PAYING GOV'T RETIREES
"A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." Gerald Ford, August 12, 1974
The whole idea of insurance by FORCE is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. You say that insurance is a joke and that they are thieves, what about BIG GOVERNMENT, how much are they going to STEAL from future generations. If anything tort reform is the answer, not an ILLEGAL overhaul. Imagine this, we make health insurance a true free market. I don't like the available insurance plans in my state, I simply buy one from another state. I know, Mind blowing. I lived in Britain, socialized "health" is a KILLER..
We already pay for ourselves and everyone else...it's called "welfare"! Yes I am for a National Heath Care System...and I live and love Idaho. Otter's reasons are stupid...my insurance already tells me who I can and can't see. What they will and will not cover. Health insurance is a joke and thieves. There has to be a change! Go Obama Go! Change isn't comfortable...but change is good!
if you had a job you could attain a better plan than the HOM you were suckered in to. :) oh....that's right, from your statment, it sounds as if you are ON "welfare". suck it up and get off my freedom!
You may be right. But just remember my motivation, and that is, that women, children, and the down trodden should never be neglected. Call me crazy! And, I say how can we afford not to do it?
the women should have made better choices in who they decided to bare children too. the down trodden? put more faith in your fellow human beings and they will rise again. stop holding them down with "charity".
I'm not from Idaho but I'm just curious about how many people there would be further denied insurance coverage if this Gov is successful? Just curious.
Govener Otter i belive you've done an awsome job. But i do believe in new blood. 2014 realy. :)

@markthehunter32 - she was on medical leave and then used up her vacation time.
This is NOT a LIE! I hope you are not ever in a situation like this. The ironic thing is she is a nurse.
