@lonestar6271 i haven't ever shifted a long john like that but it makes sense that you say it's easy to shift. there's a principle that's backed by an equation stating that the longer the lever, the greater the output force, therefore shifting would naturally feel easier. so basically the longer the lever gets, the easier it becomes to do work (shifting). 17 year old aspiring trucker here ;)

Dose your arm get tried after awhile from Grabin them gears every 5-10mins of shirting up, then down? trucking is in my blood my dad has been a CDL driver for 30+years, doing all sorts of loads from Dumbtrailer to Dryvan to Tanker ( Mainly Tanker ) but dosent your arm get sore or anything cause hell my dad had the regluer stick shift short in his 94-96Kw Btw Amazing sounding Peterbuit and the Jakebrake sounding amazing going into that tunnle :D you probably scared sum pplz!

P.S.a truck "magically" gains a burst of speed because it takes a lil time for the turbos to spool up and the truck to gain momentum, and once it gains momentum it is at its max capacity to gain speed at a higher rate... generally around the 50mph range.............depnding on weight in the truck may vary... so go learn something if you think i dont know what im talking about...
