if u lookit up ull find that evelution performance (aka these guys) take this car and make as loew as 8.9 sumthing in the 1/4. They gave it more boost and the motor couldnt handel it. It was already producing around 800whp@ 17 psi. They got a new motor took out most of the stock components and replace with High perfomance parts. They now have a blue shelby making 7.9 in 1/4. They TT it, 23psi, 1296whp 1300 i think torque. All with stock weight.
I love all the Ford haters on here. Does GM even have a production motor that can handle anything you can throw at it like the 5.4L in the GT500? Seems GM is all about big displacement, but I'll take a smaller forged motor with a blower any day.

I wouldnt try to save up for a saleen mustang over a GT500 if there the same price... GT500 are 5.4 L with forged internals, making them very easy to mod for a lot of horsepower. Dont get me wrong, I love the saleens... but I wouldnt compare it to a GT500... and saleen/roush/ford are probably all very conservative tunes... Brenspeed and Bama tunes are where its at now a days... EVERYbody and their moms have one or the other...
this car looks insane. but it only has like 460 RWP. the saleen mustang has like 550 BHP and is only a 4.6L. they should have gotten saleen to tune it and just use this body.
True, the GT500 does come with a conservative tune. But get your local performance shop to throw a pulley, exhaust, CAI, and custome tune on it and she'll be above 600hp at the wheels. You really don't need Saleen to tune and if they did a "Saleen/GT500" they'd probably want $100,000+ for it.

Yes, it's a stock s/c however with a smaller s/c pulley and under drive pulley they can generate much more boost. It's not as efficient as throwing a larger twin screw supercharger, but it'll still help get you those numbers with no problem.
That's true. My new MM/FF magazine has a bolt on special for the GT500. 627rwhp with simple bolt ons. Keep in mind too Evolution Performance probably lightened the car some too.

Actually, in this video, they are. It's even still on the heaton! Granted it does have a 75shot, which we know these blow mod motors love. stock GT500 internals are good for about 750-850rwhp. The RPM is really what kills them. The rods are the weekest part. I wouldn't rev any Shelby with over 650rwhp past 6300.

with that 2.8L Kenne Bell blower and the nitrous hes running, i would be surprised if he couldn't run in the 8's. the only problem i could foresee would be hooking that much power, that will def be an issue if that is the stock suspension.

Actually, in this video, they are. It's even still on the heaton! Granted it does have a 75shot, which we know these blow mod motors love. stock GT500 internals are good for about 750-850rwhp. The RPM is really what kills them. The rods are the weekest part. I wouldn't rev any Shelby with over 650rwhp past 6300.

with that 2.8L Kenne Bell blower and the nitrous hes running, i would be surprised if he couldn't run in the 8's. the only problem i could foresee would be hooking that much power, that will def be an issue if that is the stock suspension.
