I actually have some faith in the live action avatar movie. From what I understand, M Night is working very closely with Mike and Brian. They're pretty much approving everything he does right and shooting down everything he does wrong. So the actors aren't Asian... thanks to the animation style, that may actually make them more closely resemble the characters. That's probably what they're going for. Plus, special effects... can still suck... as proven by DB:E...

my cousin WAS going to audition for aang, but he backed out just because he didn't want to shave his head. He was going to go through with it, but chickened out. My cousin's a natural at acting and it made dissapointed that he wouldn't go for it. My other cousin (his younger sister) tried out but they only needed someone to play toph and they didn't cast her.
