@bogosse02200 never heard of damage scaling? After a certain number of hits all of the combos in Street Fighter IV start taking off less damage. It breaks down this way. 100% damage for first and second hits of a combo. 80% damage for third hit. 70% damage for fourth hit. 60% damage for fifth hit. 50% damage for sixth hit. 40% damage for seventh hit. 30% damage for eighth hit. 20% damage for ninth hit. so after the stun, the ultra's damage is reduced. it's not bout the damage, just humilation

Its sad because we all can obviously agree that Momichi is a beast. And don't knock me but imagine this fight without Akums loop. It would probably be totally different. Im not saying that if it wasn't for that loop Momichi can't ever beat him, but its gonna be a different fight. The only real thing Akuma has to take out top tier broken/god Sagat, is unfortunately getting removed in SSf4. :(

@4Eyez226 akuma still has lots of tools to beat sagat without the loop.. demon flip mixups, air fireball pressure, red fireballs, etcetc. the loop is just another option that is very difficult to execute but guarantees you a lot of stun.

its gonna be funny though when all these bad matchups against sagat all of a sudden seem like a joke in super hahahaha

No. The less the damages, the less the super meter given. Mago even already had its super on the last round. Raging demon also allows a safe jump afterward. The only reason not doing raging demon is for your own super meter. Raging demon was the best option every time.

Mago was his usual godly self in this tournament. It's just that at high level, Akuma is a very rough matchup for Sagat thanks in part to the loop and in terms of taking advantage of that, it doesn't get much better than Momochi or Tokido. Sagat is damn near free on wakeup to Akuma.
