This was not entirely uncommon many years ago in the US, care in choice and preparation can reduce the weight to a level comparable to a carriage - but notice two things: 1, The horse is working pretty hard on that hill. 2. The rear axle is a straight axle (there is no differential) and the tires are thin, this helps reduce rolling resistance and weight.
not exactly fuel free...Im sure you still need to feed it. ;)
