  • en weer een mooi filmpje, echt vette kisten die f-15's

  • bedankt,zulke kisten mogen veel vaker komen,prachtig.

  • Sweet fightertown patch! That's cool how you recorded the radio chat. 2nd to last Eagle landed too hard? Great vid man, as always...

BTW, what do you think RNlAF's F-16 replacement will be? What do you think should? Just curious.. Cheers-

  • It's almost certain we will get the F-35 as replacement. We put ALOT of money into the JSF project already, so no doubt we will buy it.

Personally I would really NOT get the JSF. Not enough bombs, slow, not agile, not versatile, and still in testing phase.

The Saab Gripen NG or the block 60 F-16 would be a MUCH better choice, cheaper, proven, and fits 100% to our needs. PLUS the Gripen is EUROPEAN, so it would make the NL-Sweden relations better!

    Calaghi

  • Best ever comment about the JSF problem. Thats soo true the JSF is just crap i also think F-15 Block 60 is much better or saab gripen.

  • A few weeks ago, I spent a whole day talking with a F-16 pilot. It was very interesting of course, and we talked about the JSF etc.

He told me that any Dutch F-16 pilot would pick the JSF over the Gripen. Only because it is American, and that it will be able to get a lot of future upgrades, something the Gripen is not.

Dutch pilots prefer American aircraft because the US simply has the most war experience, and their products are much more reliable than any other countries.

  • He gave me the example of our helicopters in Afghanistan. The American heli's, the Chinook and Apache are doing extremely well there.

But our French Cougar helicopter is having major problems, because it cannot cope with the extreme heat there.

So even though on paper the JSF looks like crap, it seems that the 'pro's' are having a very different look on this.

  • Yes Persumably I know whole of Western Europe pefers American fighter jets. Since most of these countries had US made aircrafts since the aftermath of World War II. I think Sweden is funny they dont realy rely on American they make their own Jets really nice.
