I think they have been found in some rivers in Eastern USA. The conservation department doesn't like them because they destroy the native fish. But they do look ferocious! And they bite top water, which is amazing. Hello to all the FBI!
@mead6969 There are some bulls eye snake head in america. they're mainly in florida. They're not suppose to be their how ever They became loose because of illegal trading and now they're destroying a lot of ecosystems by devouring everything.
Snakeheads do not have any natural predators here in US to keep down population. They are considered a threat to fishing waters,and should be harvested or killed when caught.
I don't really think so, just heard stories of southern states with them. A few of the resvs got so bad they had to empty pond to get rid of problem. They pretty much kill everything we have except a Tiger Musky maybe. There have been a few breeding populations discovered in a few states, but they are monitored. There could be alot more, but Department of Wildlife put them on the No No list, and this pretty much stopped importation almost. I have never seen one, they scare me. .
