The only thing that bothers me in this movie is that sharks are erm...not the right species,for example Tiger Shark on beggining has too pointed nose and too pointed and smooth teeth and the body is not as supose to be,tiger sharks have more rounded snouth and more curve teeth with "sawish" side,and Gen sharks are ok but Mako shark can grow up max 5-6 m and has different teeth...

Im studying sharks (hoby) around 15 years...but on in all it is a great film,and OST in this movie is freakintastic.

@Metalmudo Yeah, the tiger isn't very realistic. In fact, they just put stripes on a Great White, and about the Makos, they they used illegal gene therapies to increase brain mass, and then, in turn, actual size.

And they are terrible since they are amazingly strong and they are to be feared, or else everyone would act easily with them and invade their space and get killed.

Anyways, I love every single creature on Earth, but I don't know why (even though I agree they are amazing, just like you said) I can't stand the sight of sharks, not even on pictures.

@AronofskysKumo I hear you. It may be a phobia & lots of phobias stem from lack of information about the 'fear' itself. I come from South Africa, the first country to protect great whites. We have lots of sharks & especially bull & great white sharks. Our great whites leap out of the water (at Seal Island in the Cape) in pursuit of seals. We have a guy that swims freely among those great whites, we have boat tours to see the great whites, all helping people to understand this amazing creature.

Like making a shark intelligent automatically meant doom. Give me a break.

Great movie whatever people say, people understimate it cause the must expect an oscar masterpiece, but there are different catergories, and this is a great film inside its category, great plot, great dialogue great music and great effects.

This is the ONLY shark film I can watch, due to watching Jaws when I was 6-didn't go in the sea for 3yrs after that! If shark films freak you out, take my advice and get seriously high before you watch it-it helps, belive me!

sharks dont hurt you unless you actually bother them. this means you could gently swim in a tank of sharks and they would basically treat you like one of them. the one time you wouldnt want to do this is if you are bleeding... then you're dead

I mean you could give a try swimming in a tank with bull sharks or hammer sharks or blue sharks etc. but this gonna be your last try..... it doesn't matter if you're bleeding or not but if you'd be bledding this would make you only more attractive for them than you'd already be.
