the little things are what takes a band somewhere. little catchy parts that get stuck in your head. anyone can write a riff, but is it good?always be modest.look for ways to pick things a part,write creative transitions and don't stop.look to scales when writing guitar parts, using a variety of scales can really open up your options.change keys, take the drum parts and put them on steroids,look to syncopation and linear beats. spice it up a bit.push yourself. its not bad. sounds like a bar band.
we actually have another guitarist now so we are now a 3 member band, and were even better!! Weve been working on a bunch of songs and are hoping to have a whole demo CD out by late september. But this summer were thinking of just setting in neighborhoods and jammin
