Egg Nog, too much smoking everywhere, an accepance of mediocracy, british leyland cars ( deathtraps ) Smash ( substitute potatoes ) The 1970's was mostly a shit decade.................music made it bearable but not this rubbish. YES KING CRIMSON MAHAVISHNU CHICK COREA MILES DAVIS not this poptastic shite
@teddingtontcu Egg Nog ? You been listening to your Granny far too long, and what's wrong with mediocracy, at least BL Cars were "British" and I quite like "Smash" real spuds dried, not substitutes, as you said. OK Slade may not be everybodies "cup of tea" but they were inventive and popular and far more succsesfull than any of the bands you have mentioned.
The guy standing behind noddy, his hair cut NEVER suited him on any video or album cover. And then he went and shaved it all off and it looked even worse! Poor guy LOL
And passed the hound dog singer's home '' Abosolutly my favourite line of any song ever!!! Pure genius writing from one of the best bands ever. Thanks for posting!
absoluteley brilliant, love the song and slade and maybe one day someone will invent a time machine and we can all go back, WE HAVE LIVED THE BEST YEARS !!!!!! it's all downhill now.
@bigmagic96 I'm almost 19 now from when I wrote that comment, but I still stand by what I wrote. And Santana is amazing as well! An internet high five for you, sir.

What it is up with that crowd? Were they forbidden to enjoy the music? Nobody even tapping a foot. WTF?

This song proves that Jim Lea was one of England's finest bassists in the 70s but he never got any credit.
