There is very little Marenghi left in this organ now,it's basically a Carl Frei organ with parts of a Marenghi facade, the front is actually the top of the facade, the slot at the front is where the xylophone sat and the holes at the side the bottom part where the drums were, still a very nice organ though!
@petermackett37 I'm sorry to say Peter, but there's a lot more left from the original Marenghi organ than you describe here. Parts like the case, the trombones, basses, parts of the other ranks of pipes, drums and action, etc. are still from the original Marenghi organ. In Veurne I showed to Richard Evans what's left of the original organ. Maybe you can ask him and you can always come and visit the organ. Kind regards, Frans Campagne.
@petermackett37 and Vrolijkemuzikant: Thanks for the comments on the video - whatever the exact specification of the organ, it is definitely a very pleasant sound and has some nice books of music too.
So you are back? We had our 5 hour trundle through Belgium and Holland Saturday and got to Zwolle around 22.00. See my latest upload if you like?????
Very nice music on this beautiful organ.
