  • Beretta silver pigeon is hard to beat in my opinion, better than any semi auto i find, mainly because of the cleaning. MY friend got a browning double barrel with a custom spring stock and its recoil is nothing, not to mention the weight is feather light but he uses it for big big competitions

  • just bought 1 2 day i have a urika 391 and its good ya cant bate beretta wit a 32 inch stick

  • what is the price of this shotgun?

  • I've got a brewing citori lightining gunna have to get a summer job to afford this :(

  • are clay guns heavier? Why?

  • @fishblade2 clay guns are heavier and have more inertia, that is, it is harder to get the gun moving from a standstill, so more of the force of the recoil is absorbed by the weight of the gun, versus a lighter gun

  • Beautiful looking gun.Makes my Yildiz look a bit shite haha

  • preetttttttttttty

  • @SupremeAmerican it's a nice gun but you shuold see some of the higher grades! my ultimate gun would be a best quality sidelock......

  • @danebrewer10 Yeah i can only dream though, these things are way out of my budget, at least,,,,,,,,, responsible budget :)

  • @danebrewer10 Reallistically I've been eyeing a Stoeger Condor

  • it was bout 1200 id say

  • how much was it nice shotgun would love to have it

  • how much was it

  • @danebrewer10 thanks for the help, I'll give some of the local stores a call, I have some hunting mates who know good places with discounts, keep up the good vids! :)

  • As far as ordering one is concerned, is it worth going to GMK an buying directly in store (quite a drive from devon), or are there any cheaper dealers available?

  • @jimmyjack900 no, GMK don't supply directly to the public. best bet is to ring round you local gun shops and ask if they have it in stock (most likley they will) and then get them to give you a price. that's how I did it and I think I got about £150 off or something like that but I did go to the gun shop in person having asked whether they had one....

  • Interesting that you too had an issue with the safety. I was shooting the 686E recently and the safety on that one was a massive pain. It hurt to use, and was incredibly stiff and sharp. Poor show from Beretta.

  • @TheEnglishRedneck45 well I have goten used to it, I now push more down on the safety and less forward, so not pushing with the "heel" of my thumb and I ahven't had any issues since then really, You'll get used to it no doubt.

  • How many shoots you can do with this ?

  • @caiosantosrds not sure exactly what you mean....

  • @danebrewer10 How many shots you can deal with it without having to load?

  • @caiosantosrds well seeing as it's a bouble barrel gun, it holds 2 cartridges, when you have fired those two, the gun must be broken to reload... did you watch the video by any chance?

  • @danebrewer10 I'm sorry ,but i don't have so much time to see your full video

  • @caiosantosrds huh? everybody has a spare 10 minutes in the evening, after all, you had the time to reply to this comment! : )

  • @caiosantosrds Quite a bad comment dude! I mean, double barrel, generally means 2 shots, you don't have a single barrel where you can fire 20 shells from it!

  • @DemonicWeapons good point but did you consider semi automatic 1 barrel and can hold 4 rounds unless you add a magazine extension (which is illegal here in aus) then you can fit up to 10 rounds in some guns

  • that is a clay gun

  • @panicmonkey9 sorry chap, this ia a game gun. the rib is much narrower than that found on a clay gun, plus it is much lighter, it also has an automatic safety.

  • @panicmonkey9 SIlver Pigeon would be an interesting name for a supposed clay gun man. True, it can be used for clays, but it's primarily designed for game shooting.

  • @panicmonkey9 its a gun that it generally used as n all rounder, guns designed specificly for clays or trap generally have a large rail on the top barrel im pretty sure the silver pigeon has 3 inch chambers wat on earth would you use a 3 inch magnum cartridge on a clay for?

  • @YenkoSuperChevy no idea, it does tarnish a bit if you leave it un oiled to a sort of brownish colour, oil it (lightly) and the silver comes right back.

  • @YenkoSuperChevy no, it's steel just nickel plated, I don't think nickel allow yould be strong or hard enough, especailly if you shove a heavy 3" load down there!

  • purchase price ??

  • If you are shooting an over under shotgun, most high quality guns will shoot bottom barrel first then top. This is due to the fact that it puts less stress on the pivot point in the hindge action and pushes the recoil more in the plain of your shoulder, therefore less up kick. Then the top goes second. I would say this is a good idea if you have a selector gun to shoot bottom first...

  • @czechphil I'd say you can choose which barrel goes first in any grade of shotgun, it's just that some of the bespoke models don't have the barrrel selector switch, the theory of shooting the bottom barrel first because of reduced muzzle flip as the bore is closer to the middle of the recoil pad, is I think neglibible in practice, sure in lab tests it might show something, but for every day sporting use, I don't think there's any difference, plus I give the reason why I shoot top barrel first

  • very nice gun.

when i close my over under i push the lever to the right and hold it until the action is closed. this will extend the life of the action greatly. don't just snap it closed.

  • @nhrapro840 yeah someone else mentioned that, but there are hundreds of these guns in shooting schools that don't recieve nearly as good care as mine, but they keep on going, it is a beretta after all! but even so, I've not heard of it ever being an issue, I like to know that my gun is has snapped shut when I've tried shutting the gun quietly doing what you say, I have had the top lever not come across fully, I just prefer to snap it shut gently, no point in beasting it...

  • @danebrewer10 i have a 33 year old browning cetori that i bought from an old gunsmith. he told me to never snap it shut. the action was like new when i bought it 13 years ago and it is still the same today. to close it like that was a little bothersome at first but now it is second nature. i guess i don't know if it really matters but i always did what he told me and my gun action is still tight today. you have a very nice piece there.

  • lol "its got pretty good wood." hahaha i laughed so hard at that. good review man. id love to have one of these

  • how much is that?

  • the beretta 686 is my favourite gun ever made.

  • Excellent explanation, and it start me to think why trap guns always fire the lower barrel first then than upper barrel, I mean, we shoot rising targets so it should be logical to shoot with the top barrel first...

  • thanks try victory starlight 32g there hard hitting

  • sorry to ask but what cartridges do you use

  • @duncanfr11 it doesn't really matter, but I use Eley Hi-flyer or Grand prix No6 30gm for rough shooting and pigeons, whatever is cheapest for clay cartridges, or Eley First 28gm no8 and for charlie- 50gram BBs through 1/2 choke and 36gm AAA through 3/4 choke

  • nice video. do u recomend fiber optic sights

  • @duncanfr11 no, I don't like them, for me they cover up too much of the target and are a bit distracting, some like them but I don't

  • cheers m8

do you shoot without ear plugs or with them

and is the chokes fixed or changeable

  • Definitely with, you'd be stupid to not use them, a few times is not too much of an issue but you can get tinnitus that lasts for a few days from not very much, chokes are covered in part 2.

  • see in the description....

  • hi mate

    how much was this?

not being rude about asking but i have just ordered one of these in 12 ga just wondered so i can compare prices

    nice vid btw

can you do video of shooting the gun m8 only a suggestion

  • The camera quality is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Happy holidays to you and yours!

  • cheers! no probs, same to you!

  • hey i am english and im now in aus had mine for around 6monthsand top barral is stuffing up good gun otherwise

  • what do you mean stuffing up?

  • I'm italian...Beretta is very good and long-lasting in the time. VERY GOOD GUN...PERAZZI and BERETTA the best in the word

  • i just purchased this gun from a friend ...its a brilliant reliable gun. ...only difference is i paid 500 quid for mine. ..he owed me a favour.

  • Genraly when your cleaning / oiling your gun wouldnt you take it apart so save oil getting nere ya stock ???

  • no 'cause this gun doesn't have the q-stock taking the action off means taking the recoil pad off, doing this repeatedly will remove the thread in the holes for the screws that hold the recoil pad on so it'll just fall off given time. with rifles, I probably wouldn't bother unless it got wet/damp, just give it a good dry out & oiling & put it back in the stock less of an issue if it were synthetic, you'd have to be aware of a possible POI change, I might take it out of the stock 1 or 2 times PA

  • hey what is the FULL model name of this Beretta

  • weel it seems to be your lucky day, I have the catalogue.... 687 Silver Pigeon S.

  • how much u get it for bro?

  • I got it for £1225 as supposed to the £1550 list price as it was a straight forward purchase

  • ha. thanks man. how do you like the gun and hows the recoil?
