@TheNycgrrl No one's hating on Beyonce. I love Beyonce. This song was a terrible choice because it has absolutely NOTHING to do with capoeira and it doesn't even go with the video.

It's a dance, not for fighting, so it is made up while you do it.
Btw after 2:22 is fight science not Capoeira, don't throw in random martial arts clips because you think it looks cool, if the video is about Capoeira, keep it that way.

And yes capoeira is a marcial art fight not dance like you said (the dance you are talking about, is part of little capoeira history, not the present capoeira).
Yeah I know, but any place I went to never fought with it, they just danced around with music and never fought. I never found a place that did, so I did Shaolin Kung Fu instead. There was a Da Shifu in Houston (where I live) and that was some hardcore fist fighting, punished with a cane to the back, hit the concrete training. It was great.

In the clip just like you said, it locks like dancing, that's what I call a capoeira demostration for the turists...and de moments are mostely not coordinate (of the 2 ppl playing), and some times they look like they are a mile from each other, lol.
Don't take me wrong, I'm just trying to explain what's wrong in this clip :)

They're just showing off their skills. In a fight they're pretty nasty though. VERY strong kicks. A lot like TKD but "heavy".
