@freezemyheaddotcom Yes, it's dramatic imagery, but what it puts me in mind of is the people willing to risk life and limb out there to support their families. I agree that it's an incredibly dirty industry, but that blame lies with the scumbags at the top who pocket most of the cash and the broken system that allows them to. The workers are as exploited as the environment they work in.

Yup, off I-55, there's a massive oil refinery that sits on either side of it south of Joliet.

I grew up north of there, and could see the flash-offs glowing in the sky from the smaller refinery in Lemont.
