Hearing his is like finding something that I had forgotten about and thought was gone forever. My older brothers played this album over and over when I was 10. The enhanced guitar that Clapton brings highlights what a great song it is.

I loved the entire tribute show, but this song especially always spoke to me and I actually prefer this full-bodied version to George's own more modest production.

The word that comes to mind here is 'Tasteful'. This is a key part of George's philosophy for life (although he wasn't always so meek) & the restrained guitar work & singing avoids overdoing the pathos which would have spoiled it.

@muddypuddlerules Its a custom strat ( As far as I know ) there were only 4 or 5 made for Clapton & none others exist... ( I could be wrong )... Check the fender custom shop on line ( Thats my best guess ) Warning ... You will PAY through the nose for it.... I Know I did when I baught a replaca BLACKIE from there.... Happy Hunting .

He is, for me, the most underrated songwriter ever. Sure, he got plaudits, but nowhere near enough! Miss your genius Goerge.
