it is still good that he can play the piano, but he can't do it well :/ he is very young and it's not responsible giving him difficult song like this. So he will be a good pianist ,but now let him practice and become mature :))
pretty good! lacks a bit of emotion but when you perform in front of people no matter how many. you always tend to be nervous and forget some emotion while playing it. Good job. You're going to be a great pianist if you stick with it.
People who says "perfect" surely don't know piano... Sure he has right hands for piano and with time he can become good, but it is so wong to teach that piece to a kid!! He doesn't play it well at all, he plays without emotions (because hes young) and that piece is so beautiful but without emotions it is not at all. and at some places he does staccato where it should be played legato... anyways. big mistake, let him grow
Why do teachers do this to their students? He is obviously too young to start playing such a rich and emotional song. If he grows up playing a song like the Venetian Boat Song the way he just did, he won't learn properly. No sense of style. :(
i quite agree with kansadude, he's so careful about playing the right note that there's no interpretation. He has good technique and there're lots more other songs which are more suitable. Kids should learn to play music from their heart, not notes from their fingers.
its amazing. he already can play the notes so well but he needs to wait till hes a little older so he can really feel and express the gorgeous sound of this piece.
Hi, I'm asian and I know how it feels to be pushed. This little boy is excellent, but he is overstrained by his parents. (trust me I know how it feels) I agree with DobrovicPianist, he is not old enough, he is only playing notes and dynamics, not actual expressive music.
you bet??? im sure... little kids cant and shouldnt play mendelson correctly... ofcoarse no expression...and no emphasism. Part of it is because his parents overdose im im sure...and the tril is supposed 2 go on for 2 measures not 1
That was absolutely amazing considering the age and capabilities of the performer . I feel bad saying this , but I believe that though the notes were nearly perfect and technically the performance was accurate , I don't think pianists of this age can fully express the emotion and beauty of this piece .
horrible, a little child can't play a song like this!

@alleon76 there is no such thing as to hard and if you don't play songs that are more difficult you will never learn anything.
