Whenever i seen shit like this on the television as a little kid, it scared the fuck out of me! But i did like night gallory ''paintings" not the psychedelic mess as long as didnt interfere with Bert and Ernie..Of course in those days it did not..Now i prefer the psychedelic mush and the creepy mud men from that one misguided movie of nincompoops floyd did music to inda..Inda was a nice choice 40 years ago..But it makes me wonder if those misled hippies that went there look younger living
OK. It's DEFINITELY not Syd Barrett and Floyd in the video, as evidenced by 0:22, 0:27, 0:53, and 0:57. But technically speaking, the title doesn't say they're in the video - it says they're backing it. Possibly trying to imply it's a recording of them with a mock-up video in psychedelic style. Still, highly dubious.
sounds like Interstellar Overdrive either from "Tonite Let's All Make Love in London" or "The 14 hour Technicolor dream" or what everyiu wanna call it. it certainly doesn't seem like any alt. studio version. who knows (or cares) what that video mess is of or from. i supposed the footage might have originated on film but the transfer is so blown out that it certainly looks like crappy video.
great footage thanks for posting. I'm pretty sure this is Interstellar Overdrive - it sure sounds like it. at around 00.32 you can catch a riff that sounds remarkably like the ending to Vegetable Man.
This is the end bit of the 16 minute film 'San Francisco' (1968), made by Syd's Cambridge pal Anthony Stern- quite a trippy piece of work, and well worth hunting down.
was that one of syd's cats at - 1:07 ?
if it was? which one you gusse it was Pink? or Floyd??
:)

Actually the riff is borrowed from Arthur Lee and Love.

Barrett did not play a Les Paul, he played a Fender Esquire.

Great "Overdrive" , beginning sounds like them then it morphs into someone else with an Arthur Lee lookalike playing guitar

It's not from "Tonite Let's All Make Love in London" but possibly '14 Hour. Too bad the audio doesn't start earlier. Tease!

This isn't Floyd, somebody is using a Les Paul, and Syd always used Telecasters.
