i use physicians formula from target and it is great! i have oily skin and i am very very pale (red hair) the physicians formula has concealer in it but i still use a cover stick under it to cover blemishes

Powder foundations are usually bad for the skin, even oily. They are drying. Drying equals aging. The drying actually leads your skin to overproduce oil. The oil cant get past the powder. Leads to breakouts. Many powder foundations have ingredients that are known irritants, bad for sensitive skin. I know a lot of women love them. I honestly think they just are prey to the marketing. The more you use, the worse they are. If you use lightly, not as bad as if you use for medium to full coverage.

@NecatorNimrod powder Foundation is actual foundation. Loose powder is just to set ur Cream & Liquid foundations. U dont need powder to set Powder foundation. Hope that helps, Powder foundation is just like Bare minerals, U use it as ur foundation...

@jiller777 Your skin may be too sensitive for that kind of foundation. Try using something like maybeline natural luxe its very light on your skin and if that doesnt work or you do not like it try using a tinted moisturizer because it can work as a foundation but its just light on the skin.

I used to buy a pressed powder foundation that was 2 dollars (AUS) at a cheap shop and now I can't find it! I think they con't have it anymore idk but there is another one they have thats $2.50 so I think I might buy that because that is really cheap still :D

I have no problem with power looking bad. It always gives me the most natural finish. It doesn't even look like I have makeup on and I buy cheap, literally a dollar and a half, loose powder. The reason is because talc and other minerals that they put in there create the illusion of smooth skin

@katiecat059 a powder with coverage, more than just a regular setting powder or tinted moisturizer, but has no full coverage, liquid foundation has more coverage. Powder foundation is great for oily/ combination skin. Mineral powder foundation is good for your skin because mineral is less harmful to the skin. if u have dry skin, powder foundation can look dry on you and make your skin flaky, so make sure u moisturize well before applying powder foundation.

Thank you. I will try this as it looks a lot easier than I having been trying to do with MAC Mineralized Skin Finish. I think I just had too much on the brush. I also tried Laura Mercier and made a mess of my face with that too. I have older skin that is red, wrinkled (not real bad) and has broken capilaries. It is so difficult to try and find a foundation to cover it all up. I haven't yet been so fortunate.

I use Revlon's ColourStay liquid foundation and set it with Milani's cream-to-powder foundation or whatever it's called with a Kabuki brush and I get a lot of compliments on how natural my skin looks (: and I moisturize with Cetaphil's lotion from the tub cos it's a thicker formula and I have dry skin. All drugstore products too!
