  • So what about just painting my white wall with CRT white and not having a frame. Has anyone done this? I have a 1500 dollar electronic screen but it still is bolted to the wall! My objective is to have nothing visible on the wall

  • I don't get it? I thought the whole point of GOO was to have no frame and no appearance of depth on the wall. (yes, I have read reviews) Why not buy a 3-400 dollar screen instead? Might be the same or the Goo might outperform it but, then buy a 700 dollar screen and u don't have to go through all this work. You still have to buy a frame, paint it and put light diminishing fabric on it! Can't I just paint this crap on my white wall? I guess this is not white?

  • in case nobody mentionned it before: google "black widow paint" ;-)

  • There is no need to use a blow dryer on the paint nor do you have to be so close, You'll make bubbles in the paint

  • Another person trying to do a DIY while he's "Trying" to do something with no experience....CRAP!

  • @AMNBOSSTOO While I'm inclined to agree with you...I'm also more inclined to ask you then how DO you do it?

  • @think41c I don't cheap out and I BUY A WORKING SCREEN!

  • @AMNBOSSTOO

And just what size is your screen? Does it cover a whole wall?

  • @AMNBOSSTOO

    i couldnt agree more

  • The custom spray can I was referring to is called "Preval Sprayer ". That is what i used because i didn't want to use a big compressor at home, this paint travels as dust very far when in the air(20ft). Overall my screen looks better and i'm happy with it. Total cost around $280 plus additional $80 for extra paint

    So~$360+MY TIME

If someone want's to know some more details just e-mail me.

Hello2nycityr@gmail i sure wil try to help you and you won't have to get additional 500ml of paint. Pace

  • you know guys, i use the vertical blinds of my patio door and it works pretty good! try it. you ll see!

  • i'm about to put my Screen Goo on.

just checking this video to do it right. They don't give you too much paint, that's for sure!!! I'm going to be really pisses if i don't have enough for mine 120"

  • @hello2nycity how did it go? was it as easy as shown in this video?

  • Yeah, I have to agree, Screen Goo is overpriced. There's a reason a lot of DIY folks opt to brew their own screen paint. A Popular recipie involves Behr Silverscreen mixed with a White Pearlescent color in a 70% 30% ratio.

  • You are very wrong, the ScreenGoo paint is much different from regular paint. It's not about the color. The ScreenGoo has very tiny particles in it that reflect projected light. That's why whites are brighter but blacks remain black. It would be nice to just be able to buy any gray paint and get the results :)

  • what is he using to paint on?

  • that paint kit goes for up to CA$ 260, not to mention preparing the surface, etc. I think it's not worth the effort. You can get a good 120" screen for that price and you can take it with you if you move!!

  • Did he say six months to dry? at 9:23 i mean i'am planning to do a much bigger wall and dont care about the 6 months since you are able to use it right away i think, not the full effect but stil. the only prblem i have the smell will it go away within hours or it will take weeks or months for the smell?

  • yo man you are really good at this if where you i would go pro

  • ya thats pretty sweet, im thinking about gettin it for my business
